He never said that he didn't have a problem with "conservatives do this" type meme's, in fact it's generally inferred to be the opposite. You're assuming that he only has a problem with the "liberal" ones.

I said I find it interesting. Thereby giving him the oportunity to correct me if I have misunderstood his point. What someone leaves out of what they say is often as telling as what they put in.

You said, "i find it interesting that you don't have a problem with...." not "I find it interesting that you didn't include "conservatives blah blah"".

Quite a difference, hence my response about making inference.

Actually you said I put words in his mouth, which is completely inaccurate, since I never said he said anything.

He said he had a problem with the one, completly leaving out the other, thereby implying he only has a problem with the one. He is perfectly free to correct that, as I have already said. Not sure what has gotten your panties in a wad, but you might want to chill a bit, it's Friday, enjoy the weekend.

Well he quoted something that I said, in which I derided the issue from both sides. He then said "this" meaning he agreed with me. So it would seem, that he agrees that it's stupid from both sides. He just happened to use a liberal example. Reading comprehension fortheloss?

Interesting that you don't have a problem with the ( "conservtives think this" and "those conservatives are ruining that" scattered all over vitriolic facebook (and tinderbox) posts. ) which are jsut as prevalent.

I personally hate both, would rather see specifics discussed, than ideologies.

He said he has a problem with political stratification, which is classifying people into groups, which absolutely implies that conservatism is included. You've made yourself look like a complete idiot in this thread.

I love it when the name calling starts,

When you begin listing specifics, things not listed are generally considered to not be included.

lol look at this guy going with all out condescension and then acting above the fray when it's pointed out he's an idiot.

Not Tinderbox material tbh.

I realize I am no where near your level of condescension and snarkyness, but I figure with a little practice I can get close.

Seeing as tenderbox material is generally considered the lowest of the lowes, that is probably a good thing.

i do have a problem with it. but in my experience (which is admittedly a terribly small sample size upon which to draw a conclusion) the former is far more prevalent than the latter, and thus worth noting.

ideologies are themselves constructed of specifics; what i am speaking out against is the inane categorization of all worldviews into Ideology X if they do not fit Ideology Y. it makes demonization of Ideology X and political mobilization against it much easier for Ideology Y. ignorance and lazy pseudo-intellectualism are the tools of dictators who recognize how easy it is to manipulate and exploit such individuals.

Thank you.

I knew the person I actually asked the question of, would most likely come back with a resonable answer.
