Jeff Otah traded to the Jets

PP...

I get what you're saying man... I really do... And I agree with the coaching staff and FO... I just wish we could have gotten a guaranteed 4th rndr minimum for him. I think that we could have gotten that from the Jets with their desperation at the RT position.

With that said... Maybe the Jets owe us one in the future... U never know how these things play out behind closed doors.

If he works out for them I'm sure they will still be friendly with us for making moves

It's probably a 7th that might conditionally become a 5th or 6th depending on how many games he plays.

May not have gotten a lot for Otah, but just think of the money the Panthers save on the food budget for camp :D

Kris Jenkins trade all over again.

Jenkins ended up missing 2 seasons with the Jets, and we got Godfrey with one of the picks the Jets sent our way.

Is this a good or a bad thing???

Wow haha. This is a new team folks. If you can't produce, you're out of here. Won't be surprised if AE is next.

Last thing on Otah and this should be taken as a SERIOUS lesson learned... Probably the biggest one thing that we have learned about Rivera up to this point...

Remember back a few weeks ago... When Rivera talked about all of the O-Line and NEVER once even mentioned Otah... (open practices at BOA)

Well, from now on... We can pretty much know that when he doesn't mention a player... It's probably for a good damned reason! They're probably not in his plans...

This is the biggest thing I have taken from this... Other than the fact that he won't put up with whiners or mediocrity.

It's the nature of being a fan. This board would look the same way if the situation was reversed.

Unfortunately with Otah, I don't think it's just being injury prone. I think it's a combination of being injury prone AND not working hard enough in the training room to get back on the field and staying healthy. There's a reason why Dan Morgan was given multiple chances with us. There was no doubt that the guy was going to work hard to try to get healthy and stay healthy, his body just wouldn't cooperate.

In regards to the excuse of "inability to foresee chronic issues," it was Otah's lack of effort to try and rehab and get better. This should have happened last year. Hurney gets thrown in the dog house for the lack of character judgement, trading up for this guy, and holding on to him for too long.

You should remember how desperate John Fox was to keep his job.. Coincidentally, all those "bad decisions" started happening.. JR gave Fox one last chance to prove himself and he failed.

Why do I feel like Rex Ryan is about to turn this joker into a pro bowler???

Anybody else have an eerie feeling that he's gonna ball out up there?

Man I hope not.... That would truly be a shame!

fans say this EVERY time someone is traded away, and there isn't yet one example..
