Jeff Otah traded to the Jets

Our run game is now not the marquee offense it once was. We needed threat in case Gettis isn't back to form.
Good trade for both teams.

Wait, are people really going to blame Hurney because Otah couldn't stay healthy? REALLY?
He was an excellent offensive lineman in '08 and '09. Shame he couldn't stay healthy. But it isn't like Hurney picked a scrub. Stuff happens. Otah got hurt. What is Hurney going to do about that?
Amen, can't predict injuries

Clearly Otah needed to be adopted by Sandra Bullock.
Lol, that was on last night.

Some of You guys don't get this do you???
Think as if you're a JET fan for 2 seconds... You just traded a 6th or 7th round draft pick (peanuts)
For a former 1st Rndr (filet)
He has far greater Upside than a 6th or 7th rndr...
It makes no sense to throw in where Otah was drafted given he's been in the league for 5 years...his draft day value half a decade ago is irrelevant. If we got Sam Baker or Lawrence Jackson, I guess we'd instantly be upgraded with 1st rounders! yay
We've all seen the type of player he is and we basically swapped Louis Murphy for the Otah. A lot of activity but not really a big deal. It was pretty evident he wasn't going to be starting or playing here much longer.

I get what you're saying man... I really do... And I agree with the coaching staff and FO... I just wish we could have gotten a guaranteed 4th rndr minimum for him. I think that we could have gotten that from the Jets with their desperation at the RT position.
With that said... Maybe the Jets owe us one in the future... U never know how these things play out behind closed doors.

Jenkins ended up missing 2 seasons with the Jets, and we got Godfrey with one of the picks the Jets sent our way.
