HORRIBLE trade.... Only good IF* he goes down for the season
I guess it does speak highly of the guys we currently have though... I hope our line stays healthy though.

This is another confusing thing I don't get.
What do people see in Bell? He sucked last year. UDFA or not, it doesn't matter. He was horrible.
He was part of an offensive line on an offense that was 3rd in the league in rushing and lead to cam putting up the amazing rookie stats he had. Given, he might have been the weakest link on our O, but for a rookie I think he played pretty well.

I bet we draft an OT in either round 1 or 2 next draft.
Wouldn't surprise me in the least. We'll see how Bell does this year, but regardless, Jordan Gross is no spring chicken.

He was a Panther. Gets a bump
He replaced the hated Otah. Gets another bump.
Cam mitigated how bad things could of been b/c of his play. Gets a 3rd bump.
But yeah, he was awful if you didn't do the above.

And if the Jets needed a RT so badly we should have gotten a guaranteed 3rd rndr minimum for Otah!

LOL!
We don't even know the terms of the trade and what the conditional pick is, yet we have at least one poster declaring it a horrible trade.
You can't make that poo up.

Think about it this way....we basically traded Otah for Murphy.
Gantt says the pick we get back for Otah will be a higher pick than what we gave up for Murphy. So more like Otah and a 6/7th for Murphy and a 4th/5th

Otah was far from a bust, I don't think injuries buy you that title. He was a monster on the field, just didn't work out.
Injuries are one thing but reports keep coming from everywhere that he was work ethic was essentially non exsistent and his care level keeps declining.

yes, he was.
injuries aren't an excuse. there are players that the general NFL universe considers busts whose careers were hampered by injury.
you don't think Larry English is a bust either?

Undisclosed picks are usually later round picks bro... We gave up a 1st to get him...
He wasn't an overall bust either as some of you have declared..
He was a big part of DeAngelo and J-Stew's dual 1,000 yd rushing season...

Jason La Canfora
The conditional picks in the Otah and Murphy trades are in the same late round, so its essentially a player swap for Carolina...
