He doesn't have to be great, he just has to be adequate.

Regarding the defenses he has been a part of in the past, I doubt we can judge him based on that. We have several talented players on defense that have never been part of a really good defense.

Johnson was on the bench most of the 2010 season and is over rated.

Hali is a 3-4 rush backer, I don't see how that makes him anything like our LBs which was were I quoted you.

09 was the only year he didnt start over 10 games and he still produced. he finally got his props last year when he went to the pro bowl coming off a 130 tackle year. Hali would be a DE here and the only reason he plays OLB is because of the scheme. so you are right it doesnt make him like our backers, but they are good backers in there scheme. Edwards have played with good backers before.

I don't feel he will make a huge difference, mainly because he has not made much of a difference his entire career to my knowledge. Now he is a year removed from playing football.

Maybe Nibbles will give him some special diet pills and vitamins to get him back into the swing of things.

at one point...a very long time ago, he was considered an above average run stuffer.

at this point, he's a veteran who might be able to help the inexperienced DTs on the roster.

No, I actually get bored with a debate after a few minutes.

I said that him coupled with a healthy lb corp would be huge addition over last year.
