In this thread I've been personally insulted by several posters for expressing my realistic, educated opinion.

"asshole"
"douche"
"go fug yourself"

Yet, I called a NFL player with 8 arrests within 4 years a thug and get the ban hammer threat.

Interesting.

I have been called a fake douche asshole who needs to fug himself for saying we don't need to sign 2 RBs and pay both like featured RBs in a 3 yr window on this team....

I was a fool for attempting to bring logic and reason into the huddle. It's my own fault, really.

My opinion is exactly that. An opinion. I don't care if you get mad or don't agree with an argument supported by history/facts/evidence.

I have a health degree so I know a little bit about this and his unlikely return. I'm sorry but TD's career is probably over. Only in America where a guy can retire at the age of 30.

Like Zod said, TD is a great mentor and is an important part of the team. Mark Fields and the team gave him permission to wear his jersey number, FFS.

How many games has Davis played in the past 4 years?

Reality = checked.

My daughter has an athletic training degree and is finishing up her PHD in physical therapy. She said that he could come back from this injury but realistically three repairs seems to be the outer limit. it has to do with how many times you can repair the same site area without building up so much scar tissue that any new repairs won't take. Still if the repair is sound and he has rehabbed sufficiently it could hold especially with the help of a brace. So unless you are an orthopedic surgeon I would believe her over you. Just saying...............

Don't forget 'douchebag,' it's separate from douche, and I called you it earlier.

The classic internet forum shield, "This is my opinion, I don't care what you think, yet I'll keep responding to you and posting here, BUT ONLY to post my opinion here, not to see what responses it garners." Yea OK, you win buddy.

Here's a fact for you. TD is currently healthy, and practicing as if he is going to be playing on the team.

But I bow to your medical degree, it's probably a lot fancier than the ones held by NFL trainers and doctors who have cleared TD to participate and move forward with the purpose of playing in the NFL again.

You goober. There, add that to your list. Tell them they called you a 'goober' too you baby. Oh crap. OK, add that too, 'Baby.'

That is what happens when you go into a battle of wits without a weapon.

Sure, it's theoretically possible but the fact that it has been re-injured twice would seem to trump whatever theory is involved here.

Its also why its important for him to start slow. No way in hell there is not scar tissue in there and its going to flame up and be stiff. I had my knee surgery 5 years ago and it still flames up when I really load it.

Also I love how pessimistic people come on a thread to speak there "realistic" truths and get pissy when they get sent packing. Maybe there should be a sandy Vag thread where they can go on and bitch and moan about how the huddle is unfair and that they want drink the kool-ade there serving.

I'm pulling for the guy, but like I've stated at least a 1,000 times now, it's never been done before.

I'd sincerely question the legitimacy of any physical therapist who honestly believes an NFL LB can return to his previous form after severely injuring one of the most crucial parts of an athlete's body three times. Did your daughter attend devry university?

From what I read the repairs used different body tissue to serve as the ACL, a cadaver ACL the first time, a hamstring muscle and tendon the second time and now part of the patellar tendon from the other knee. Each has its own merits and drawbacks. Plus they were performed by different surgeons. So I don't think you can say they were all the same or that re-injury will happen because it did in the past.
