lol at any attempt to limit the stupidity factor here. Even the annoying idiots you are talking about are smart enough to figure out the way around a 500 post limit is to post 500 damn times. Do we really want to encourage that? Meanwhile the guys that occasionally are drawn to intelligently throw in their 2 cents are thrown under the bus. no thanks, I can quickly skip/ignore stupid threads.

i could care less. If I don't like a thread, I do what I do with my tv when theres a show I don't like. I change the channel. Besides you'd be killing the guys over in the tinderbox. plus i think we're all gonna have a lot more to say when this season starts. If you're having a hard time with crappy post, go outside take in some fresh air, and realize the offseasons almost over. Thats why most of the crap surfaces round here anyway. We're all too bored and too anxiuos. GO PANTHERS!!!!!!

a persons post count has absolutely nothing to do with their ability to start an interesting thread. There are more stupid ass threads started by 500 post count posters than there are otherwise.

I propose limiting thread creation not to post count, but rather PPP, pie per post. We could make it something low, like 0.1. So whether you have 1,000 posts and 100 pie, 100 posts and 10 pie or 10 posts and 1 pie, you can make a thread.

This way thread creation is limited by the quality of your posts and not the shear number. It's like evauating Running Backs by looking at their YPC rather than just yards, something we as Panther fans know all about.
