Word out of Miami is that Tannehill's got a good chance of securing the no.2 spot, and consistent overachiever David Garrard (from Jersey) is battling it out for the no.1 spot with the the NFL's paragon of mediocrity at the QB position and favorite signal caller among white guys who live in trailers, Matt Moore. The loser of this battle is speculated to be "expendable"

And while the feeling is that Garrard is the odds-on favorite to win the starting job, Moore is doing... other things with his reps...

"4th down, 18 yards to go -- Matt Moore spikes the ball. (Can't believe he did that on fourth down.)"
*Facepalm*

To be honest, if the Fins let go of Moore, I'd like to have him back to back up Cam.

Matt was always a classy guy.

there's no shortage of talentless "classy guys" in the FA QB pool then if that's your bag.

Matt Moore is far from talent-less.

Everyone thinks that their back up quarterback needs to be able to get them to the the Super Bowl and that's just not going to happen.

Moore would be a great back up for Cam albeit they don't compare very well skill wise and I'd much rather have Jason Campbell, Troy Smith, Tarvaris Jackson, or Vince Young but that's beside the point.

Moore has chemistry with smith, lafell, gettis and threw some nice passes to them in his time here. Wouldn't be mad to have him as a back up. Usually though once we let somebody go, I'd prefer to not bring them back. That chapter ended. Let's move on.

I'd prefer Derek Anderson since he has a year in the system.

Meanwhile at Dolphins camp...

Nannee is STRONG. Fights for the catch. Looks like a BEAST in traffic.

No chance Garrard sees the field unless Moore isn't on the roster.

I'm saying when Anderson decides to hang the cleats up.

Hopefully we will have another capable back up by then...maybe Andrew Luck

the best backup for Cam actually would be Colin Kaepernick, a.k.a. Cam Lite in the 2011 draft

Moore looks abysmal in our scrimmage Saturday. He has always been a shitty practice player and steps up during games. I expect him to do ok during preseason games.

I won't hate Matt too much, there were a lot of teams last year that would've loved to have him as backup when their starters went down....
