On vacay at OKI going out to dinner with the fam looking for good places to eat. I know a few of y'all stay down here.

Right now, "provisions" is the leader in the club house. Any good?

Yes, Provision is good.

If you come up to Wilmington, what kind of food you looking for?

In Wilmington, either Espetus or El Cerro Grande.

el Cerro Grande is good for mexican, but is still typical mexican. Good ones that I'm missing now that I've moved away. K38 or Tower 7. Bridge Tender. Sweet and Savory. The Veranda at Holiday Inn Wrightsville.

If you like eating off styrofoam plates with plastic utensils youll love provisions !

If you want a decent waterfront place to eat ( ICW) for seafood try Bettys in Holden Beach.

Stay far away from the Island Way on OKI next to the pier - very expensive and Ive had some bad experiences there.

thai by the Sea in OKI is a nice little place if you like thai food.

my gf worked there for about 7 years - place is nuts in the summer.

good food and awesome view though. and the outdoor area is shaded very well.

Yeah, I really like Provision... it's great to me.

Don't get down there much though.


If you get up to Wilmington, Flaming Amy's is worth the experience, nothing fancy, but good burritoes, etc.

I never go to Oak Island/Southport area that I don't go to Provision. Big old plate of steamed shrimp and crab cakes...

Fishy Fishy is a good spot right on the water in southport.

See I disagree... I've been to the bowl a few times and didn't find it that great.

We go to Amy's at least once a week on Tuesday to get the $1 tacos, and I love their other stuff too.
