How many of you are actually undecided?

Recommended Posts

Independent here

Don't care for Obama

Don't care for Romney

No clue yet, but right now (and more than likely anyway), I'll be voting Johnson.

Unfortunately, their replacements have been worse. The thing that bothers me about the tea party candidates is that there is not a hint of compromise in some of them. Some of the tea partiers in congress bother me as much as Dennis Kucinch does for the lefties. And there are more of them.

Because compromise=spending deals that do nothing to fix the problem

Be it defense spending, entitlement spending, everything. It needs across the board cuts...period. Some programs and their subsequent bureaucracy cut out entirely.

lol, what a brave stance. WHICH PROGRAMS?

democracy necessitates compromise... the cognitive dissonance required to spout that the only way to change the system is internally through a policy of zero compromise is astounding.

do you not see that the people who you are touting are doing the exact thing (metaphoric jumping up and down) that you say is childish and grossly innefective?

does acting like a child become more effective once you're in office? or is your scorn simply reserved for those who won't tow the line?

Who's acting like a child. Acting out knowing that you'll eventually get what you want and mommy and daddy will pay for it? Or making a stand saying no...stfu...you're not getting it because we can't afford it.

so basically the republican plan is, don't compromise at all, get full majority in both houses, and then they'll cut only what they want, not what those dirty hippies want?

Oh boo hoo. Some people think different from me so the only solution is to barricade myself in my bubble.

What do dirty hippies want?

EBT program expansion to include Doritos?

How can any of you with any semblence of intelligence believe that the republicans are barricading themselves in a bubble and being obstinant. Guess what...Obama's plan has gotten near zero votes in Congress. What plans has Harry Reid presented? ZERO.

You want to bitch and moan about republicans having firm stances on taxation and spending, but absolutely nothing from the democrats for comparison OR compromise.

Ignorance is truly blissful. Stay undecided and don't vote...please...for the sake of the country. And by "don't vote", I include that being a vote for someone that has zero chance at winning anything.

Republicans probably stopped compromising around the time George Bush 1 was cannibalized by the democrats he compromised with.

You really are some piece of work.

Truth is republicans stopped comprimising once they started to believe their own insane rhetoric that labeled Obama as a Kenyan Socialist, that might be the anti-christ and definately is plotting to destroy America.

How can you ever comprimise after that?

I'm registered as independent. I've decided not to vote. I'll wait for a new batch of contestants in 2016, maybe they'll find someone reasonable to run.

Wasn't talking about republicans. Was talking about you. A statement you made. But cool story bro.

Right...you simply carried on a one-sided narrative.

As mmbeans said, the style of government we have demands compromise in some cases. Our government cannot function without it. The odds are that for the foreseeable future, the democrats are going to have control of one of three parts of the government (Senate, House, Executive branch) that is required to allow a budget to pass, so they are going to be able to block any attempts at slashing budgets without some tax increases. So the republicans are going to have to compromise on the no tax increase mentality, or the deficit will continue to climb. Thats just all there is to it.
