Went to The Husk, they have personal TV's for every booth, it was pretty good watching the first half. Could hear everything. My next door neighbor is the manager of the place too.

I dont know about you guys but I'm sooooo sick of "sorry man this is a Pittsburgh, Patriots, Baltimore, etc..."bar. Eff that crap. Never walk into a sports bar in Philly and hear "sorry guys this is a Chargers bar". One of the worst parts of living in S.Eastern NC IMO.

Our next best is going to a bar that is showing every game and all the Waitresses and bar tenders are running around in Brady and Teabow jerseys. Such B.S.

I get home from Afghanistan the first week of Sept. So I'll be home for the first regular season game. I'm gonna go to A little place that a few of my friends work at called Billy Goats. One big screen. Only showing the Carolina game. They dont serve food but I'm just gonna order pizza and wings.

This is my first post in a while (sketchy internet out here). I'm kinda upset that the pie was reset. I'm suddenly a noob. lol

Where is this Billy Goats place? And what is it if they don't serve food, just a bar?

Honestly I prefer to watch games at my house... But it would be nice to have a place to go where I knew there would be Panthers fans and not a bunch of Steelers/Cowboys/skins/Pats fans...

PS- gave u some pie. :)

Its on Market St. Across from the old Firehouse/Sports Pub/ Market St Saloon/Whatever it is this week. Yeah its just a little bar.Older crowd mostly nice people but its always been pretty dead on Sundays so my plan is to pretty much take it over as a Panther fan hangout on gameday. And thanks for the pie!

Across the street from one of Bruce Cavanaughs car dealerships...

A little sketchy but I usually go there on Sundays for a game or two.

    • Could be. Hope to be.  I see the big time potential in both. In my opinion-The biggest obstical I see (not only with them but in many young players) is their self confidence. Taking it from "flashing" to "breaking out" or "to the next level" is an imaginary obstacle that stands in the way of a lot of players with potential. To get over the hump, it can take a play, a game or a season to get their mind right with the confidence that they can perform at another level.  KB and Funch have good coaching and all the skills necessary to be the guy, but in the end, they are human too. Most won't admit but the majority of people perform in a "fake it till you make it" environment so to speak.   Lack of confidence or conversely, proving to yourself you can do it, is not only important to the average Joe like you and I but to them as well.  Some guys get over the hump and exceed their own expectations enough to where it becomes standard practice. Others never quite get that bit of confidence or courage to take it one step above their self imposed ceiling.  Im optimistic so I think these two guys can break through. We will certainly have a good read on their direction this season.  PS- Did I use enough quotations?
