Don't give me that Aaron Rodgers crap because James Starks went off in the playoffs.
Also see the Patriots last year...

Tolbert and Cam will account for 40% of our ground production.....and we have all that cash/cap invested in that other percentage.
Well, we
Think you're over estimating the amount of carries Tolbert will get.

Hurney has demonstrated time after time that he knows what he is doing when it comes to the salary cap.
We always doubt him when he hands out a deal, and then he comes back and justifies it. ALWAYS
It's time to celebrate, not be a negative nancy.

We pay our running back's well, you still have to have a solid running game to win the Super Bowl

LOL
Laugh all you want but the cliche "you have to run the ball to open up the pass" is actually very evident.

Eli Manning, Rodgers, Stafford, Brady all had no running game last year.

....but ESPN says its a passing league....as if running will hurt a team now...
Having a loaded backfield is not a weakness or a hinderence for a team...with defenses really moving toward nickle coverages and hybrid safties/corners, a run game becomes an advantage.
Smaller guys on defense for coverage = weaker run stopppers
a balanced attack is what the Panthers are doing with some read/ spread concepts...set the trend.

Eli Manning, Rodgers, Stafford, Brady all had no running game last year.
All of them either passed or came close to passing 5000 yards.

Eli Manning, Rodgers, Stafford, Brady all last year had no running game last year.
And three of them didn't win the Super Bowl.
The 49ers had a fantastic running game and they were a special teams mistake away from making it to the Super Bowl.
If the Texans had a healthy Matt Schaub and Andre Johnson, they probably would have been Super Bowl Favorites
When the Vikes had Brett Favre and Adrian Peterson they were a play away from going to the Super Bowl.
The Panthers made it to the Super Bowl with a running game of Stephen Davis and DeShaun Foster.
I will take a good running game and a good passing game over a one-dimensional offense any day because more than likely that multi-functional offense will always have the edge over a one dimensional offense.
