So, all you 12-13 win people.....

You know what's worse than people who have overly positive/negative reactions to things they saw in a particular game?

The same five people who go into every thread and try to "calm" them down.

So people who try to take a reasoned approach or impart some balance by reminding folks that this was a meaningless preseason game are worse than the histrionic whiners and the blind optimists.

That is either a totally ignorant statement or this is opposite week and no one told me.............

I was disappointed in the guys that will hopefully never play this year. Not a big deal.

Not sure how can you draw any conclusions as to whether we'll be successful or not this season from this game. Most of our starters didn't even play one whole quarter.

Starters and second string were toe to toe. After that was a joke. Back up oline. Ummmm no

,!

I really did not see us "toe to toe" with the Texans. Despite being tied at half, O thought the Texans looked loke a playoff team and we looked like a 6 win team. They turned the ball over twice, otherwise the halftime score would have been 20-6 or worse. sure you can give our defense credit for causing the turnovers but, it seems to me that there are really only 2 things that will happen when the other team has the ball: they score or turn it over. We can't continue like this. We MUST force teams to punt the ball. I don't think Texas punted the entire first half. Plus, we need to turn those TOs into TDs not mere FGs.

Overall I was quite seriously disappointed with the Panthers' showing last night. Not in terms of losing, but I didn't see anything that makes me think we have improved in any phase of the game.

In terms of wins, I wasn't predicting 12 or 13, but I thought we could win 10. Now I have serious doubts.

Anyone that says a preseason game is meaningless is fooling themself. This game showed us all that this team has a lot of work to do.

10 - 12 wins in still where I stand, and like others have said its the 1st gm and starters didnt play much. Wait till the 3rd pre-season gm to jump of the we will be good boat at least...lol Redzone D was good so if we can hold teams to FGs we can still be a good team even if teams move the ball up and down the feild..

And to ppls saying calm down and be realistic, thats all well and good but I thought fan was short for fanatic ....

Im a Panthers fanatic and theres no way ill every going to a season thinking they will not do well, thats way you play the games..

Anyone who thinks that a preseason game gives any indication as to how the team will perform during the regular season is fooling themselves. Preseason is mostly about judging individual performance.

The results of this game are completely irrelevant irt whether we will get 6 wins or 12.

I don't think now is the time to panic. Houston was out there like it was a playoff game.

I feel like taking a day away from this joint until the wadded panties begin to loosen from our more effeminate members.

He only looked twice as good as Matt Ryan.

So yeah, a below average performance for him.
