New intros?

38 posts in this topic

I got in to my seat just as they were announcing Cam. Can't believe how long I stood in the herd of cattle packing in to the north gate. That was some bullsh*t.

But for all those people showing up "fashionably late" to the first preseason game -- Fail. I had to lol at people just getting to their seat as Derek Anderson took the field.

Too far to walk, enjoyed it on my TV. Maybe this Friday. Perhaps.

Preseason football is such a bad product.

I'm not trying to be a douche. But, the reason there's nobody there is because the tickets are the same price for preseason games. They need to lower those things badly, nobody wants to watch a bunch of backups after 3 series for the price people pay. Me personally, I don't mind it. The casual fan? Not so much.

They might technically be the same price but if you are spending more than $10 on a pre-season ticket you are doing doing something very very wrong in the way you obtain tickets.

Intros were the best I've seen at the stadium in years. I can't wait to see it on Thursday night against the Giants week 3! Although the preseason is very necessary, I agree that it's just tough to watch.

Also, how are they different from last season? New song? Looks the same to me.

They never showed them coming out of the tunnel on the big screen, and yes, a new song.

Preseason football is such a bad product.

What's sad is that NFL preseason gets better TV ratings than the MLB or NBA playoffs. I guess this is why NFL has started selling the preseason package...

The reason nobody is there is because they haven't made it to their seats yet. Half way through the first quarter was when it filled up.

Pretty stupid people pay to see the game but miss the majority of the first string.

Yeah, I LOL at people who show up late for preseason games...

New intro was cool, but I miss the "Panthers in the house" song... probably for sentimental reasons.

One thing I didn't like about the new intro was that "Purrcussion" kept playing a little drum rif as part of the Disturbed song... it was lame, they should just let Purrcussion come out first and do their thing, then hit the sirens and the disturbed music.

I also get why they introduce Smitty last, but Cam gets the biggest "pop" so it's kind of anti-climatic... they should introduce Cam last.

As a PSL owner, you are forced to buy them at face.

    • I was a Marine Brat at Camp Lejeune NC and graduated from CLHS in 1978 and on 28 June 1978 I joined the Navy.  I retired On June 30th 2003 after 25 yrs of Naval Service and have been serving overseas to support our troops ever since. I was in Tikrit when they captured Saddam.  Soldiers from our base were the ones who actually found him.  I have been in places in Iraq called Mosul, Al Asad, and Al Kut,  I have been in Bagram Airfield in Afghanistan.  The living hell hole called FOB Shank were incoming was a daily encounter. You see young soldiers who don't even shave yet.  Some look like they lied to get in.  Men and women from every walk of life.  Putting that uniform on.  So needless to say, I am very attached and proud of every one of them.  Whether they know me or not.  Tears fill my eyes every time we lose one. (Just lost one last week). This video, I saw when it was originally aired, still make me water up.   I challenge anybody to show me a more military dedicated team, in ANY LEAGUE, ANY SPORT, that supports the troops like the Carolina Panthers.  I'll give my hated Yankees a close 2nd. ($10,00 ticket with a military ID) **at old Yankee Stadium. Carolina is a class act, plain and simple. Thanks for posting this again,
