Starting to see a pattern with these field goals: Mare two for four, short from 51. Medlock four for four plenty of distance from 51
If Medlock can work on his kickoffs he should win the job, hands down.

@Panthers
CB Josh Norman caps two minute drill with a leaping INT in front of TE Greg Olsen.
Joe Person @josephperson
Josh Norman picks off cam. Good play by Norman came off his receiver to jump the throw to Olsen.
Steve Reed @SteveReed_AP
Josh Norman makes a nice pick on Cam.Steve Reed

Carolina's three CBs in nickel defense: Chris Gamble, Captain Munnerlyn and Josh Norman.Jonathan Jones
@jjones9
Good pressure from Johnson and McClain on Cam to make him throw it away

I am confident that Medlock is the better placekicker. But, is he the better kickoff specialist? That short kickoff to the 10 yard line, gave up a touchdown in the preseason game. We can't have that. Hopefully it was a fluke.

Two days after Rivera's message, team intensity is at all-time hugh. Play has been strong today.

considering the leg that guy has, there should be no short kicks like there was saturday. only reason i can think of is to see how the coverage units handle them. imo, holliday is about as good a test as you can have. that kid is a bullet. unfortunately we failed that one. i just don't know that the intention was to allow him a chance to return it.If Medlock can work on his kickoffs he should win the job, hands down.

Rivera said Medlocks short kickoff that led to a TD was the biggest disappointment of the night.

probably. hoping that's just a fluke. it'd better be.I'd be more inclined to believe that the kicker who has not been able to make in in the NFL for the past 5 years just botched the kick.
