Catch Jake's stat line at the end? 1TD, 4INT. It was a sign.

1)I miss Michael Bates. Dude was a beast.
2)After watching this, I feel like point differential should be the first tiebreaker for playoff seeding, so every week 17 would be like 1999. Seriously, has there been a more fun day of football than that in the last 12 years?

I remember that game. I miss Steve B. He was always one of my favorite Panthers.

I don't think they'd ever go back to points as the tiebreaker because it kind of encourages running up the score earlier in the year.

I don't see a problem with it, but you're probably right.

Net points is still the ninth tie breaker.

Even though we missed the playoffs that year, I was stoked at that game.

I remember watching Steve Bono on the sideline, basically inventing Twitter by updating the score of the Packers game to the team every 3 minutes. When I wasn't glued to the field, I was following every reaction Bono had.

His sense of urgency when he heard the Packers had scored, and his clear jubilation when Arizona did was so telling. Then 5 minutes later they would update the scores on the big screen and Bono would point up when they flashed the score.

That's what I remember, the scoreboards being so far behind and the crowd not quite realizing what was going on.

Pause it at 11:06 too. A certain stat will show you why Ditka is no longer coaching ;).
