couple quick thoughts on what he said(reading in between the lines)
-Sounds like if Norman can translate his good showings in practice to preseason games, the #2 corner is his.
-Went out of his way to praise Godfrey but wouldn't name a starter at FS, looks like Nakumara may have a slight edge of over Martin.

Godfrey must be the worlds greatest practice player in the history of sports. I mean there must be something I am missing here.....

the guy has potential and does show some good things during games. methinks alot of the poor plays we attribute to him causing is actually him doing what he was told but then being put in a poor position due to someone else screwing up.
its tough to tell with safeties because we don't have the coaches tape nor the play calls available to us so us and the media generally just evaluates safeties on big hits and interceptions.

He gets no heat. So yeah, WE must be missing something....he must ball out in practice and crumple against competition or consistantly has nudes of the coaching staff or something.

Watch Godfrey have a Chris Gamble like season and shut up all the doubters again.
or we can just watch Godfrey do what he has done all 4 previous years.....struggle w/ coverage assignments and open field ball carriers.
it is what it is.

Or, maybe Norman can be that guy and give us two solid CBs. That would allow Godfrey to actually play his own position. Instead of cheating to help, he can stay home.
It will be what it is.

Our starting #2 cornerback is currently Captain Munnerlyn and Godfrey is the blame for the bad coverage. It's Godfrey's fault that he's never in the right spot because our cornerbacks are flawless.
Can always count on you to have a unique spin on things. Capt. is the starter at this time. If Norman continues to flash, I would expect that to change. Norman reminds me a little of Capt. Fiesty, plays with confindence, and has a chip on his shoulder. Only with more size.
If Norman does win that other CB spot it can only help Godfrey. It would allow Godfrey to focus on his own responsibilities and assignments. Might just make a positive difference? Why Not?
