i have to say i've been quite happy with how he's done.
i'll probably get flack for this, but if beason were to go down i think they might feel good enough about phillips that kuechly can stay at the Will. i might be slightly incorrect in this, but in a JJ 4-3 the WIll is just about as important as the Mike and might be just slightly more important. i think that kuechly would get the green dot on his helmet, but they might keep him on the weak side.

there was a good screen shot when the announcers were talking about his nose; for those who know how to pull a picture from it..

He's a beast. I see no drop-off from Connor to him, actually he looks better.

Phillips has played better than Connor did. I know it's preseason but he looks to be a really solid backup mike.

If Davis was in his prime and not after 3 ACL's being done. I would say us. Honestly though? Gotta go with the Steelers.

Steelers for sure, but i gotta put the Texans in there too, it seems like every LB they pick up seems to produce instantly.

Agree he's better than Connor, but maybe some of that is Ron Edwards.
