I hate on Clausen's QB play as much as any one....and was against drafting him.

But he seems like a nice guy. The Huddle online trolling of him is something I don't get.

yeah he seems like a nice guy. the huddle seems way too obsessed with him.

still though, he gets paid a poo ton of money to sit on a bench and workout. I would easily take that job, even if it meant a forum full of autistic football fans talked poo about me all day long

Simple insecurity. Just a bunch of immature people, who may or may not have been picked on their whole life, trying to find a scapegoat to find power over. Sort of like a bully. Jimmy's looks and his poor play made him a prime target. It's also the bandwagon effect. It's become "cool" to rag on him. I can't name another Panthers bench player that has generated so many threads.

Well, much like Cam...his predraft label looks like bullshit. He was never been a cocky and arrogant guy here. I don't think Jimmy is a NFL QB....few college QBs are. He seems like a nice guy....and I haven't heard a single peep from anyone in Carolina implying anything bad about him. He has also handled being in a lot of bad and tough spots in a very mature and positive way. It seems hard to dislike anything he has done here outside of his play on a field.....

The constant trolling of him on twitter is crazy and it seems his teams fanbase is the core of it.

He gets paid big bucks to play QB. His football game is fair play to a large degree......but the attacking of him personally is lame.

I get trolling a Panther on twitter if he shows d bag behavior. Jimmy doesn't. Shoot, you would probably prefer your sister date Jimmy Clausen over say Charles Johnson. Now, why would that be?

I've heard he's truly a dick and even the body guards he take with him out to bars do not like him.....but that's neither here nor there.
