Apparently he's moved up the depth charts.

Disappointed in Reggie Smith. Glad Martin is being replaced, I'd actually like to see if he could go back to CB.

I honestly thought Reggie Smith was going to step up.

Should of seen it coming though. Dude was more concerned about doing some retarded "Dougie" dance than concentrating on football.

And JOAT I agree w/ you on Martin. They should move him back to CB and at least see what they have with him. Can't be any worse than the guys back there now.

I'm disappointed in Smith too, but I can't say I've been impressed with Nakamura in the first 2 games either tho.

I really thought between Martin, Smith, Nakamura, etc. (Nelson, Williams, Pugh), that we would have a quality guy opposite of Godfrey. I hope Nakamura steps up now that he is listed as #1.

it's not like we brought in highly regarded FA's...we took scraps and hoped...this is one of those
situations where it may be good, or it may be a little less bad.

Nakamura the Ninja is still learning the system, I expect some lapses from him. Martin really doesn't have any excuses.

Can't say I'm surprised... although like others I was thinking Reggie Smith might take the job.

I haven't seen Nakamura do anything better then Martin. I actual I think Martin has outplayed all the safeties. This seem like "Martin in a contract year and they don't want to pay him". So lets give Nakamura the job.

He started last game.

I guess that means he's the starter for regular season, dispite the fact nothing official has been said.

I also haven't been impressed with the guy at all. So I'm wondering what he has done to win the spot.

What was everyone expecting? Ed Reed? We need consistency across the board from our secondary. Consistently better, that is.
