While LaFell seems to be the #2 choice for now, he might need to continue to improve to stay there. I think the ones behind him are hungry for chances, and Murphy hasn't had the acclimation time yet to show his potential.

I think you are right about LaFell being pushed. While Brandon has a knack for big catches in big moments, last year there were long stretches of games when he would disappear. Murphy looks like a nice fit in this offense, and Pilares should be a really good YAC receiver.

Gettis will remain a mystery until he gets some actual on-the-field action.

I know Gettis is a board favorite based on flashes in 2010 but he has not played in, well, a long long time. Perspective: Armanti Edwards, Gettis and I had the same number of receptions last year. That said he has potential but I don't want to artificially inflate expectations.

I'd like to see a rotation to exploit match ups.

Adams getting the ball in the slot on screens could be nasty. Homerum type stuff we haven't seen since a young Smitty. Not sure he is useful yet as a WR beyond that.....But he has some real potential

It's sad that some people only see Adams as a return specialist even though he was solid receiver in college, had quickness that made him difficult to catch, and wasn't afraid of running across the middle of the field. I want Adams to focus on giving us some good field position, but I would hate if we didn't try implementing his skillset into this offense.

Flashes in 2010? He had Moore/Clausen as the QB's and managed to look like a solid #2 as a rookie.

I'm on my phone and was in a bad cvg area, so it submitted twice because I was impatient.

For me it's one of those things where they have a small guy like Captain playing nickel then I prefer Murphy, Gettis but if it's a bigger, less agile CB then I think you go to Pilares or Joe Adams. OR, throw Murphy outside, bring Smith to the slot as a lot of CB's only play outside.

If they leave the LB in, then choose whomever.

I think we will definitely be seeing Smitty line up in the slot some this year.
