Not official yet, but at least he proved it tonight in my opinion.

I was waiting for one of the young receivers to step up and score a TD. LaFell had a couple of clutch catches too as usual.

Pretty good for a Smithless offense against a solid Jet's D.

LaFell had a few good plays as well. He is working on being a great number 2.

eh he and Pilares are about on the same level. I think Pilares could be as good as him with Cam throwing him the ball.

Sometimes coaches play guys over superior competition in preseason to see if they show something. Tutu, if Gettis returns healthy, most likely will be cut but RR wants to see if Tutu could show something before making a final decision. He could be a practice player, but not a gamer. If he doesn't do anything in game 4 again, RR may even decide just to go with 5 WRs if Gettis stays on PUP.

LaFell, Olsen, Murphy, and Barnidge were the bright spots on offense for me tonight, probably in that order.

Murphy is legit. Tutu is a marked man on this board.

At this point Gettis may possibly return to the field by the end of the decade.

It was goos to see LaFell, Murphy, Pilares, and Barnidge step up. Really anxious to see Pilares get more reps with Cam. Every time he makes a reception it seems he makes someone miss and is a threat to go the distance.

Excited about our young receivers.

Lafell and Murphy are both no.2 wrs.
Both will average 500-800 yds and 4-6 tds each.

People who believes Lafell will have a spectacular season this year will be upset.

Can't wait for him to get back... With Smitty, LaFell, Gettis, and Murphy as our top 4, that'll be beastmode.

I just don't see how Tutu is going to stick when we have to keep Pilares and Adams after that.

It's nothing against him, but he just seems big and "clunky" for the lack of a better word. His route running looked pretty pathetic tonight and he's dropped most everything that hit him.
