The hot chick from the Departed is set to play Bates mother. AMC is usually very good with their original series. I am excited!

The article says its A&E? I'll still probably watch but I love AMC programs do that would have been sweet.

it has potential..you have to adjust to the modern world of the town..so its a reinvention with iPhone and such. It looked great from the previews and the season preview looks great. It is tv 14 so don't expect American Horror story crazy or violence.
Really setting the tone of the possessive mother and clinging son fighting his own need for individual freedoms. more character study episode1..if that said anything.

It's okay, anything with Vera Farmiga is worth a watch. Her younger sister was in the first season of AHS.

Meh, the pilot was slow....it felt like I was watching Lifetime.
I may give episode 2-3 a shot, but the pilot barely sparked my interest.

Its pacing may drive people insane bc it has that Hitchcock type pacing. Also mimics the cinematography.
I agree however that some of the school interactions looked like an ABC family tv series...my daughter watces too much Pretty Little Liars and it was of the same quality...i give it a 3-4 episode leash..bc the premise is still intriguing.

Yeah bringing the oddness of the entire town into it made it a bit better. I'll watch episode 3. They haven't lost me.... yet.
