Let's discuss this guy's legitimate potential and what type of player you could see him becoming if successful down the road. Is he no more than a receiver we will dump in a year or two or could he become something?

I don't know whats up with the guy. I haven't been overly impressed by him. He doesn't really seem fast, but he doesn't really seem that slow either.

hard to say until we see him in action with the first-team offense. i think he's got the tools to be successful but he's going to have to work his ass off to see any real playing time behind the depth we have at the position.

I've never seen a play for Pilares where I felt he screwed up, and he's shown a few flashes of big play potential. I like the kid and think he will be a bigger part of the offense this year.

I hope we increase his role in the offense because KRs are just not going to be important on this team. It's been like this for years now and it's going to continue. Whenever we receive a kick, I pray for a touchback.

He is better as a receiver than kickoff returner. Although he sometimes has some big returns, he usually takes it out when he shouldn't and gets tackled at the 15.

I see him as a legit slot guy who solidifies the WR corps.

He takes it out unnecessarily a lot of the times. He just doesn't have that breakaway game speed to be taking it out 6 yards deep.

He should be a decent slot guy who will be solid after the catch

Lack of playing time hurts , but at the same time that could be quite telling for the argument.

I've never been impressed with him, but I feel he could prove me wrong this season if given the chance. Wouldn't mind seeing him work out of the slot with the 1st team...but I never see him being anything more than a #3 guy.

That isn't necessarily a bad thing.

True, the report on him when he was drafted was he is more of shifty guy than a speed guy. The only problem I see him having in the future is opportunity. We have so many weapons he may get buried on the depth chart.

With exception to him, that's not a bad thing and it's a "problem" I welcome.
