purvis is actually attending classes. and it's nothing he did to be in the situation. it was his school's laxity in preparation to move its students to higher education.

and it goes beyond a message board rumor as you characterize it. there was blatant academic fraud, fraud that obviously favored athletes. whether it was unx, or it was notre dame, it's still damning for the school. it just made it that much sweeter that it was unx. i still doubt this is over, though.

Can we just start paying players already? Its not like AfroAmerican studies or Table Tennis are real degrees. Theyre not worth the paper theyre printed on. These kids know their ticket is sports. Let them major in their sport, give them a personal finance lesson be done with it and get back on the field!
