Why Clausen and Edwards are Panthers

I think Hurney takes great pride in being able to boast the Panthers have more drafted players on their roster than team X. Yeah, team X may win more games...but it is something Carolina has hung their hat on and bragged about to a degree in recent years.

I wouldn't brag about Clausen or AE.
Not about them. Big picture. Drafted players carry more weight and are given a longer leash....it is how Carolina gets to boast they have more drafted guys on their roster than anyone else. Sounds good. Makes their drafting sound better as well.

Ok. Then why are they here? Why have other hung around painfully longer than most teams generally allow?I disagree.
You don't believe a guy who drafts players would like to boast about his roster being largely made up of guys he drafted? Sure does sound like he is a good drafter compared to everyone else.

I see what you're saying. But it seems more Hurney doesn't want to admit his mistake rather than boasting to keeping draft picks...Not about them. Big picture. The other wide receivers we had were either awful or too noob.
Hurney really wants to keep 3 QBs.

Rare is the organization that will admit error after only two years. It ain't just Hurney.

That could be another reason. In the OP I didn't claim it was the only reason....just potentially A reason.

I don't know about AE, but there are worse 3rd string QB than Clausen. He knows the offense well if the worst should happen.
He knows the offense, but he can't run it because .4 seconds after the ball is snapped the game becomes to big for him.

Draft picks are generally given EVERY chance EVERY year, no matter what organization it is.

I can name many many examples of franchises moving on after 1 or 2 years.....it isn't actually that rare. Rare here.
