This just blew my mind. I was just looking at the Other Teams Cuts thread and I saw Edwards was free and thought to myself I'd love to have him on the team, but Hurney isn't going to make that move. Not only did he, but he cut McClain to do it. I thought for sure he'd be sticking around for a while.

Why McClain over Fua?

1. Hurney obviously like Fua more as a person than McClain. He made a personal decision, not a business one.

2. Fua looks like he could be Rivera's son.

Firstly, I like the Dwan acquisition. An clear upgrade to McClain and should solidify our starting DT position for this season.

However why was McClain cut? AE, Clausen and even Fua surely were better candidates for the cut.

I remember now that he was on the field in the 4thQ of the Jets game. Maybe that was a signal that something was wrong. I was wondering why he was out there and it seems this is why.

He showed promise in the Miami game and had some good moments but to be demoted that quickly, only leads me to believe that there is an off the field problem.
