I happy because it shows that our FO isn't settling.
BUT
McClain>Keasre>Fua
I really haven't seen much from Fua at all.
If Fua is the WEAKEST one on the D-line, then obviously the front office is settling.

Why McClain over Fua?
1. Hurney obviously like Fua more as a person than McClain. He made a personal decision, not a business one.
2. Fua looks like he could be Rivera's son.

However why was McClain cut? AE, Clausen and even Fua surely were better candidates for the cut.
I remember now that he was on the field in the 4thQ of the Jets game. Maybe that was a signal that something was wrong. I was wondering why he was out there and it seems this is why.
He showed promise in the Miami game and had some good moments but to be demoted that quickly, only leads me to believe that there is an off the field problem.

Reasonable take on this...I remembered thinking to myself that it was odd he was relegated to 4th quarter time against the Jets. Something has obviously been brewing, and D'wan becoming available cemented McClain's fate...I remember now that he was on the field in the 4thQ of the Jets game. Cut McClain, keep Jimmy? Mhm....
Maybe they plan on fattening Jimmy up to play DT... add 100 lbs and he's a 6'2" 322 NT.

He was also playing in the 4th during the Steelers game.
