If you're an independent or unaffliated, I believe you can choose a primary to vote in. If you're a D or R, you must vote in your primary only. Doesn't mean you couldn't change registration prior to the primary and change back afterwards. You cannot vote in both. NC is a semi-closed primary.


I believe so. I'm unaffiliated. At the primaries, they asked me to pick a side. I could have picked either side and voted the weakest candidates (what I should have done). I ended up just voting on Amendment One since I didn't pick a side.

Technically I am one so I know how most people think. Yet I've never made any claims that i'm a moderate politically.

I'm registered Independent becuase the Donkies and Elephants are EXACTLY THE SAME ON EVERYTHING THAT MATTERS.

More than likely I won't cast a ballot at all this election, unless someone worthwhile runs 3rd party.
