seems to be a variation, probably British.

i don't disagree. british english generally is wrong when compared to american english. because we accept and adapt rules from other languages, whereas the british bastardize everything.
see: herb. it's a french word. H's in french are silent.

One thing I have noticed is that when it comes to political or controvesial positions, most people are only open minded about the things that they agree with, and close minded about the things they disagree with.
I would have to agree with this. It takes a lot to actually view something from someone else's perspective especially if emotions get in the way.
