Are you folks sure you're fans?
IMO, the defense needed to step up more. They could barely stop a guy who wasn't able to break the 200 yeard game. What is the team going to do when they face real slinging QBs?
You folks spend way to much time making it all about your offense simply because of what Cam and the receivers did last season but let's be real, the Panthers as a whole, really need to get it together or this season is going to be worst than last season and it's not your QB's fault. This team seems to get way to complacent way to quickly...JMHO
We know the whole team needs to get it together...but holding a team to 16 points and 258 yards of offense should be good enough to win a game

Bc Offense played like a D+ and Deffense played like a C-, not B-.
I said it many times already, our Defense looked better in the second half bc of a rookie coach staying honest and managing the game. If it was a team like N.O., we'd be blown out. Quit looking at stats and the score.

The defense didnt play very well in the first half, couldn't get off the field. But when they finally did, all the offense did was put them right back on the field. There were only a few minutes this game were our offense somewhat resembled last year's, and it was minimal.

O was about as bad as it has ever been. An F was generous IMO. I know this one and that one showed some good stuff, but these grade are based as a whole, and as a whole they SUCKED AZZ!
I dont understand why our Oline takes so long to get going. If I remember correctly they typically suck the first few games every year.

Is this your own grading on the team?

Defense held the Bucs to 1/7 on third down in the second half. The object of ball/clock control offense is to keep the ball for as long as possible and to keep the clock running. Not to run three and outs and punt the ball. Our offense, particularly the o-line (and more specifically our two guards), poo the bed and didn't hold up their part of the bargain.
The defense deserves the B. They played a soft cover two zone to start the game because they didn't know what to expect from the offense. Even though the cover two gave up underneath passes on those first two drives, it did not give up big plays. Once we adjusted the defense to really go against what the bucs were doing, they locked that poo down and the Bucs offense went to poo.

Defense was a bit better but dnt let the stats fooled you. Schiano stayed honest and manage the game by running the ball with a rookie back. To kill the clock and put Cam on the sideline. That's why it was three and outs for the Bucs.
I gurantee you that if Schiano came back in the second half throwing those little "dump offs" and short passes and aimed for a high scoring game, they would've accomplish just that.

You don't play "let's go 3 and out on purpose" with only a 6 point lead. Even a college coach knows that.
