Stew is our best all-purpose HB.

Perhaps but Stewart > Tolbert > Willaims becomes = Tolbert>Stewart>Williams when /$

Oh I agree....

With what Chud does...paying a RB like Tolbert bringing in a cheap RB that fits this scheme and investing all that other cash on D, WR/TE or pass blocking OL would have been ideal.

But that is all hindsight. We didn't know what Chud would be doing.....but you could argue Hurney should know

People keep saying Tolbert is a good fullback, I'm not sure I've seen anything that warrants that.

i got blasted for saying that during preseason.

Those are people who haven't watched him in recent years....Tolbert has been more RB than FB. he can get the job done at FB.....but he is just a fat body RB.

Williams does better with a fullback infront of him or in the option where he takes the ball in stride

From a pure cost-benefit standpoint our best RBs were Armond Smith and Tauren Poole.

other than rumbling after a wide open catch he looked like hot garbage.

He didn't even finish that run, he ducked out of bounds like a p*ssy.

Thread gets 3/10 mostly for the use of teh gif.

Time was not on our side. Game situation called for him going out of bounds to stop the clock

Get a clue

We were down 2 scores with 5 minutes on the clock on our own 11...he took a screen (poorly thrown and sniffed out by the S) 20 yards and stopped the clock.

You interpret that was a wide open play where he was afraid to get hit?

The safety was out of position and tried to hold him. Once he made the catch he was in the open.

The Panthers weren't in hurry up.

I believe my assessment was accurate. He could have finished the run on the way out if it was necessary to get out but a) it wasn't, and b- he obviously didn't want to get hit.

Stewart is better all around than Tolbert. Not sure why this is a debate.

I'd rather have a stud RG than Williams, Williams is the most replaceable back in this offense IMO.

It's a shame he is horrendously underutilized.
