If that's truly the case, then shouldn't we have practiced a few pro offensive plays to fall back on if the key cog to the Mickey Mouse offense is injured?
This brilliant offense that got us 6 wins last year and managed to win Denver 8?
I don't know about you, but I was kind of jealous watching Denver run a pro offense last night.
To be honest, I was jealous watching, Pittsburgh, Green Bay, and San Fran also?
Do we really not have the personel to run a big boy offense or does Cam really still need the training wheels. He seems to throw a good ball, to me.
There has to be some middle ground between Foxball and this corny three ring circus we're seeing now.

i agree....I said before the game I thought all those would be removed from the gameplan. I assumed that was what 2 gameplans meant. We should not of tried to attempt it without Stewart.

DeAngelo could of ran on Tampa. Chud had an offensive gameplan geared away from our stud RB. Cam and Smith can make plays under C....and it would have allowed Williams to fit and be the game hanger he is. It is fine when we have Stewart bc then it is geared to him and Williams can be a compilment to it.

It an argument based on fact....fact of what this offense has done on a football field. As you know, I have argued this since last year.

All I needed to read. Like I said you fit the information to fit what you believe already not filter the information after the fact based on what happened.
As for Chud, he ran what he did last year because we had no preseason or prep not because that is what he knows to run. In Cleveland he ran a completely different scheme. So to say he runs only one type of scheme or is incapable of running a different from week to week is yet to be proved or disproved.

I wiill wait a few games to see what happens before deciding I know what is going to happen. But feel free to carry on with you "already always knowing"......

You constantly claiming DeAngelo took read option dives last year doesn't make it true. I have asked you to name one game, one play of him actually taking a read option......and you never have shown a single play of it.

You showing ONE play of it in 2011 isnt much of a request I am making.....and I can prove Stewart took them all. Go back and pick any game....

last time you searched and searched and only came up with him taking option pitches....and tried to claim those were him taking zone reads. Claiming Cam read a D and pitched it outside. The zone read is what Williams did twice for negative yards on Sunday....making his Chud debut in Stewarts role.

The point is that I am not making the statement he never ran it so the burden of proof is on you not me.
I have a real life and job and don't have time or inclination to go through 16 games and 45 plays a game to prove you wrong. Proving you wrong is not that important and even when I do, you just change the argument or keep on arguing the same thing .

You make it sound as if Williams failed at running but everyone else didn't or Stewart would have been great if he was in. Honestly Stewart would have been no better, it was the scheme and offensive line that failed not Williams.

All I know is you claim X.....I asked for only one play. One play in 2011 showing it. You don't want to read further bc it can't be done. Sunday was exactly what I claimed....Stewart fits the core of what Chud wants to do with Cam, Williams is a complimentary player when Chud's Cam offense is working.

I don't agree with that Chud is doing.....but it is what it is. Chud should of run a gameplan that suited his talent. Williams is too good for Chud to scheme him out of a game. Chud leans on Cam too much.

I don't know everything....I just go off what Chud actually does in games. Until Chud proves to be different I will just judge him by what he does on the field. Overall Chud wants to run Cam's offense from the gun. That isn't okay when you ned Williams to be your primary RB

But to assume that the Williams doesn't fit the offense because of what happened yesterday is simply making the information fit what you already believe to be the case, not looking at the evidence and objectively deciding what it means

Well that game and all of 2011

Williams isn't going anywhere, so just get used to it. Also, stop assuming you know better than the HC and OC who are actually, you know, an HC and OC, because you dont.

Well, the 2011 season is my proof. Stewart was the zone read RB.

You claimed to prove me wrong on it before....by showing plays of Williams taking option pitches and then you tried to redefine what a zone read was claiming all options should be considered Williams doing the zone read.

Stewart has proven he can be better and would have....that formation has only blown up in their face once....and that was when their zone read RB in Stewart was inactive on Sunday.

And if you read my posts for what they actually say, I don't blame Williams for Sunday. I blamed Chud and his scheme.

Good post. I was hoping to see more pro style this year with the spread as more of a wrinkle, not the other way around. I think Cam is capable of running more a pro style and us trying to get all cute didn't work well yesterday. Again, that oline was awful, not much was going to work yesterday as far as the run game is concerned. Around week 6 or 7 though, as typical Panthers nature, the oline will finally get in the games.

Williams is fine, no one can run when the whole d-line is in the back field when you get the handoff. Our run starts slow every year, clicks around wk 6 sigh.

we cant get the run game going when they blitz every play, most of the runs were shotgun draws or counters that take a couple seconds to develop

You have to find a way to make a guy fit that's averaged 5 yards per carry for his career...

No more true than this. Chud needs to adjust to Dwill. Its seems like both years he has just flat our refused to use Dwill in ways that he is best at.
