if you're bored and need a little laugh...

Why isn't there a simple question on an employment form that asks a potential ref, or replacement ref, if he has a favorite team, so the league can make sure to avoid such embarrassing issues, which should be there responsibility!!!

Screw the league offices for punishing someone else, AGAIN, for their own failings!!!

NFL has sunk to an all time low on this one...

My god what a group of dumb looking people. People who follow ghosts piss me off more than die hard vegetarians and religious zealots.

GUYS!!!!....GUYS!!!!....GUYS!!!!!......i think you are all being just a little unfair and just plain mean. it's his job(for now) and i'm sure he'd perform in a completely fair manner. in fact i would expect him to stay just as well within the bounds of the rules as the team he pulls for has for years. i expect him to be just as honest and show the same level of sportsmanship as the Saints*** org has for several years.

1. Don't ever trust a douche bag Aints fan2. It's not the fact that's he's a fan. The problem is he was openly displaying it, and didn't make the league aware of it.

Have you guys seen the comments on the espn page? Great stuff...

NFL is a mess you want to replaces some becuz they are a saint fan .. You people got some nerves around here...all the these other team mess up but the onlys one u can call out are the saint .. I dont think he did anything wrong he just supporting his team at the end of the day .....

I wish ESPN showed that much integrity with their own bias... Has anyone watched their favoritism with the SEC in College Football... Duke and UNC in the College Baseball... the Yankees in Baseball... Miami or wherever Lebron plays in basketball... wow... trying to show they have integrity... what a joke...

Especially since they refuse to stand up to Barkley at USC for his homophobic stance... But lets tell the NFL that a replacement ref cannot call a game because he is a fan....

WOW... ESPN gets uglier by the day....less

They really do not have the mental capacity to grasp what happened.

Now if they could just get rid of all the anti-Panther refs.

Or at least all the pro-Cowboy refs.

NFL.com has an article about a ref who worked the Seahawks/Cardinals game having ties to the Seahawks.
