Yeah I criticized Rivera. Newton too. Hopefully they used some of our criticism as bulletin board material. Glad they proved me wrong...so far.

Rivera Hater simply translated.

"I hate his demeanor on the sidelines" - translated: I hate Hispanic people.

Stop the hate..Rivera is the El Guapo who has a pleathora!

I like the fact that Rivera is not a micro manager.

But just make sure Ron that ur coordinators don't go into retard mode...which happens part of the time.

I said "our" not "my". This thread wasn't directed towards just me. But if you honestly think the Panthers didn't know that there were a group of people that were voicing their displeasure on this board you're probably wrong.

Big rebound from the Riv today. He had the team prepared in all aspects of the game. Let's follow it up with a big win at home against the defending Champs shall we?

FYI....we did not close out the Saints like we should have....we actually gave the Saints way too many opportunities to come back and beat us. Clock management during the 4th quarter actually sucked pretty bad.

for the record, I don't HATE Rivera. I do question some of his calls/non-calls.
Not talking about his play calling but when It's fourth and short why not call for
a measurement. Last year he called a time out allowing the opposing team just
enough time for a field goal. I realize he's new to the head coach stuff but he
needs to get up to speed... QUICK. I don't want to lose a game because the head coach
didn't remember/know what to do. Your taking the game out of the players hands
at that point (imho).

I'll be more impressed with him when he outduels a guy like Coughlin, not whoever the Saints* 3rd string coach is.

I get what you're saying and won't argue. But our team made some great defensive adjustments after their first two series, especially on Graham and Sproles out of the backfield(not including those screens).

The best thing Rivera ever did in my eyes was take over his team, and call that timeout.

This is very true. We won, but it wasn't coaching and smart play calling late in the 4th and got us the W. It looked and felt to me like a same old complaint from last year. We were not closers. We handed a guy like Brees plenty of time to tie the game on a silver platter.

Only out of the Saints*** fatigue, their frustration, and the grace of Beason, did we pull this one off the way we did. Even with no TO's left, a scoring machine like NO, although sputtering, has to be respected, unlike their fans, coaches, and numerous defensive cheap shot artists.
