to be objective, someone saying you did something bad when they have something to gain by saying it, doesn't really prove anything. unfortunately, there isn't a system in place to get a jury-equivalent to review these statements for their truth. oh well. suck it saints. just hope we keep our noses clean.

Mr. InDenial .. an affidavit is a sworn statement .. Same as making it in court .. subject to perjury charges, etc.

think GW would lie and be subject to perjury? Think again .. that's exactly why he admitted what he did

delusional saints fan

I think we need to see this piece of paper to know what it really says. Could be "I gave Vilma $10K to waive around and use a prop to motivate the players. At no point did we ever intend for it to be used as a 'bounty' or to actually pay someone to hurt another player."

umm yeah... sure it happened JUST like that...

what you have said is correct, but wasn't my point. you can be subject to whatever consequences the nfl or the legal system can dream up, but that does not mean we have to believe those statements. evidence that you lied and your ability to convince your peers is an entirely different story.

Vilma is apparently now back in 'fight' mode, but my guess is deep down he knows he's going to lose.

The NFL could have him on camera and he and the rest of his cronies would still deny it all.

I'm over the whole Bounty mess. I personally think the coaches should be held more accountable than the players.

Except in this case, a player is the one making the offer.

Have to admit....this screams of a move made by somebody who wants to get back in good graces with the people who decide if he can coach again or not.

.....still, I love it.

So you think throwing players under the bus is a sure-fire strategy to get back in the league to... coach more players?

Methinks you're doing it wrong.

They have collectively lost their fuging minds over there.

I know denial is a real thing but holy poo man. They must be pumping acid into the drinking water or something.
