Does anyone know when his rookie contract expires? We all know he has stepped his game up, but if you take his numbers from the first 2 games and expand them over an entire season, he's projected to hit 1240 yards and 8 receiving TDs. Those are very Vincent Jackson-esque numbers and I worry we may get into a position where we need to pay him top dollar to keep him around.

When the time comes we'll pay him what he deserves. No worries.

After spending so much time trying and failing to find a consistent #2, if LaFell continues his development, you better believe he'll get paid. It won't be V-Jax money, but he'll get a nice little contract from Hurndog and a small percent of the huddle will go berserk and condemn Hurney to public castration and a good ol' fashion tar n' feathering.

It would be a pleasant surprise if LaFell reached 1000 yards

I remember hating on him big time for his lack of awareness and conditioning.

If there's one thing our fans should never worry about, it's keeping the guys who are valuable to our team on our team. So long as Hurney is navigating this ship, our money will be sailing into the pockets of our own guys if/when they deserve it.

And maybe sometimes when they dont.

Why do people insist on worrying about things that they can't control and haven't happened yet?

I sense a veiled allusion toward political debates in this statement.

He signed a 4 year contract, so we got another season of him
