No.

They know how to have/prevent sex. Honestly...who doesn't. Everyone pretending they don't are fooling themselves. What you do is start penalizing males that are procreating with no intent of support for their children. It's really no difference in outright neglect. Start by states mandating females list the fathers on the birth certificates. The fathers are mandated by the state to pay additional taxes to the state to support the burden they are putting on the state. If they refuse, they are simply treated as tax evaders and handled the same way where a work requirement in prisons to "pay" the state back. The only way the male can get out of this is if the female chooses to emancipate him from his fatherhood duties. If she chooses to do this...she doesn't get additional support for that child though because she's chosen not to require the father to help. Still doesn't change the birth certificate. I'm also of the opinion that if you send two children into the foster program...you should be required to either get sterilized/depo shots or lose all government aid in the form of housing, EBT/SNAP, etc.

Sound cool?

Get out of here. Responsibility is a dirty word. Seen Obama take responsibility lately for anything? Individuals as we know are not capable of responsibility.
They need a break from responsibility. Government will be the catch all. They have you covered.

And here is the Obama mention. Looking forward to the official game thread tonight for more.

I think there are at least a couple things worse than gay parents. Polio. Waterboarding. Atlanta Falcons football. Amirite, guys, amirite?

Ah, so you want to get the government more involved with the process.

I do like the idea of holding the father accountable, but I would prefer if he had options other than "give money," like actually taking care of the kid part time like a real father. The vasectomies- well good luck getting that passed but I'm not really against that idea either

The first part sounds a lot like child support btw

It is child support...but if you continue to neglect your children...you're snipped or forced to get depo shots/sterilized. I know we just had the NC sterilization thing, but that was handled inappropriately. You present this as a choice...not as some underhanded approach and secretly sterilize people. You choose to get it in order to maintain your government assistance. Otherwise...forget it.

As for government intervention...absolutely...because it's the government/taxpayers that end up footing the bill and supporting generations of kids that will never have a decent chance.

growing up in a single-parent household with just a crazy ass mom, i can't say i disagree.

i think children need that family dynamic of a mom, dad, and sibling of the opposite sex. and the thing is, that's not even a 'gay' issue [whatever you may define that as]. it's a general, "who am i, and how am i being raised" issue.

except this is more government intrusion into the people's lives and it would involve more draining taxes to fund it, and you are against both of these things, aren't you?
