I don't think Cam ever loses confidence in games.....I just think he feels his arm gets twisted. Has no choice but to force stuff too often. What choice did he have late?

The fact that this is even a story makes it painfully clear why 89 wears a C* and 1 doesn't(yet).

Read every post on this thread (took 20 minutes). Panthers win next week, it's all forgotten. Panthers loose, Cam gets released and flogged on the way out.

Come on guys. Smitty needed to chew his ass. Plan, do, act, learn, re-plan, do, act, learn, rinse and repeat. I hope Smith is climbing his ass as I type this. Cam is not God and he is not complete yet. He must rise, he must learn, he must evolve. We have our QB for the next 10-12 years. This too shall pass....if people like Steve do what they gotta do.

I have to LOL...Cam Newton gets ripped because he didn't play well and is being scorned because the media has turned him having a towel over his head into him having a bad attitude. While Stevie gets rewarded by the same media for having such a firey hot and over the temper. And to think Terrelle Owens and Chad Johnson were shoved out of the NFL because of their supposedly bad attitudes or was it because they showed it to the wrong QB and team?

So Stevie taking his anger out on Cam for the lost of his team and the media having a field day with it because he sat on the sideline, is your idea of Stevie being a captain...Hmmmm I wonder how it would have been spunned had it been, Andrew Luck or Matthew Stafford who was screamed at by their receiver because he didn't "show" the kind of the emotion the receiver felt he should after losing? But it's only Cam, the media whooping boy, who was already smeared and scroned before he left college because he help take a not so media favored college football team to the championship game.

This reminds me of the tomfoolery that insued with the Bears when the camera caught Cutler laughing on the sidelines and the media blew that into him not taking the game of football seriously.

Dear Panther fans, you will not be winning much play-offs or SB rings with the kind of attitude you project unto your QBs. Attacking your QB whenever you lose isn't going to help you much.Learn from your division rivals the Saints about maturity. They lost a game that should have been theirs. Didn't see any receiver chewing out their QB for not acting the he wanted.

Thank you Steve for playing right into the media's hands. You just threw your team's season down the drain. What is with this team and it's issues with having no respect for their QBs? And you folks wonder why you're not going very far.

Seriously, why do you feel it's cool to beat Cam down like he's some run away slave every time your team loses? That attitude of we need to teach this boy some lesson never seems to die does it? Even is it's not warranted.

You folks have spent more time making sure you keep your QB in check than you have demanding your team get their ish together. You Panthers fans don't seem to be happy unless you're stumping your QB's ego into the ground, after every lost?

Let's be real, you folks have spent more time reading your own personal prejudies and baises into everything Cam does more than he has actually done what you're so paranoid about him doing. The attitude towards this kid is simply appauling.

I seriously wonder if Steve had done it to Andrew Luck would you be so happy about it.
It seems as if some of you fans need to man up and stop blaming every ish on your QB simply because you don't want to face the reality of how badly your team, as a whole, sucks. Maybe if you stop playing owners and start playing fans and demand that your team, as a whole step their ish up, you wouldn't be so damn hot and cold. Cam isn't this team issue.

Once, again, the Panthers lost and the media to make it about Cam and the Panther fans rejoice. Such fugging denial.

It's no wonder you hate on your division rivals so much. Hate to face your own weaknesses.. I see why you're so quick to reward Steve for his bad behavior while beating up on your QB for being hard on himself when his team loses.

Something tells me the problem isn't Cam's attitude at all with you fans. I have a feeling no matter whan he does, you will find a way to turn it into something negative.

I will say from day 1 I never liked cam .. I still don't , but I don't have to like him to like my team. So whining about people dogging cam is really dumb considering everybody has 1 player on a team they don't care for. If Cam does well then cool.. if he plays like ass then fug him sideways .. it's whatever.

To put a wrap on this post, Steve reflects the true arrogance of the Panthers and it's fans. Instead of looking at himself in the mirror and keeping his disappointment about losing to himself. He made projected his anger unto his Qb and made you arrogant fans rejoice in delight. Look at the difference in the way you handled your lost to the Gaints after the big false media hype and how the Sants handled theirs. There lies the difference between a REAL confident team and one that's more arrogant than confident.

IMO, all Steve did was feed his pwn arrogance and very HOT and out of controlled temper by throwing Cam to the media and the reaction from fans with like you folks...Not surprising. Sunday you were arrogantly bashing the Saint's fans. Yesterday, you're back to tearing up your QB for not taking this pathetic team to victory.

I watched the game and saw a team who was well aware of the game plan of another team and that team doing nothing to change it. I also saw a QB who had practically all day to throw the ball and receivers who were always wide open. BUT let's not focus on those things. Let's put all our focus on our QB and how he's acting on the side-lines. Yep you guys sound like SB bound folks to me.

Maybe, you Panther's fans need to learn something from those more mature teams who also had/have rookie QBs with tons of real pressure on their shoulders and are human, like the Gaints, you win SBs when you spend more time WORKING as a team and not bashing your QB.

Cam is your team's QB...Not your team's slave. Your shallow and extremely obvious hot and cold attitude towards him isn't going to get you closer to any SBs.

I have to laugh at how much you folks marvel at Steve's arrogance, while sitting there brow beating Cam at every turn so he won't turn into a Steve Smith. It's clear many of you have no respect for that kid. It's quite obvious how selfish you are. And even worst, you're so desparate in wanting his talent and media attention but you also want to control and manipulate Cam as if he's not a human being but is just another toy Jerry Richards got you to play with.

I often disagree with you because you watch everything with an agenda firmly in mind beforehand, and it's an agenda I do not subscribe to. However, in this case, after rewatching the game, I have to admit you are dead on in this case.

Cam didn't do anything unprofessional at any point in the game. Did he throw some bad passes? Yes. But all QB's do. I saw a guy disappointed, sitting on the bench and watching the game on the jumbotron, undoubtedly re-living every play in his head.

Steve Smith was wrong to call him out. Think I'm irrationally defending Cam? Go back and watch the whole game. Beason and Kuechly also were shown sitting dejected on the sideline. Is there a problem with their attitude?

Footballisasport, in this case you are 100% correct.

At least you're honest enough to share how many of the Panther's fans seriously feel about Cam but are afraid to show it.

It's painfully obvious that Cam is nothing more than a workhorse and scape-goat for this team.

Actually my only agenda has always been to keep a light on the way our media not only manipulate these players, but set out to treat every fan like fools.

What annoys me and I'm not afraid to say it, is the clear bais way in which certain players are treated by the media. If you're their chosen, you cannot do no wrong and you're given tons of room to grow. If they pegged you as a failure, they set out to keep that noose around your neck without giving you a real chance. If they simply want to create a negative mindset towards you based solely on sterotypical prejudices they do it. It is so disgustingly obvious.

I am a staunch Gaints fan and I was rooting for you guys to win simply because I saw how much the sports folks like those on NFLN was hyping Thursday's game by making it all about Cam. I saw it as a set up because, I knew the Panthers as a team isn't stronger than the Gaints.

It seems the media has a real love/hate relationship with Cam. They seem hell-bent on painting him as another Vince Young. You know, with "mental issues."

I saw that game and figured there was a reason why the network kept Cam's every move on the side lines on tv even thou he wasn't doing anything. It was so obvious. Especially with Mike Mayock's disecting Cam's every action with his silly know it all attitude as if Cam was still in the draft.

I found Steve's behavior on and off the field during the game, way more offensive than what Cam was doing. The fact that we're now hating on Cam and not Steve says, how powerful our media is. Or is it that they are simply playing on the baises and prejudices of the fans?

Maybe you should practice what you're preach. I'm always amazed how some folks can easily perch themselves up on a soapbox and tear into someone's character based on nothing more than false perception.

I'm also glad to see how hypocritcal you are because everything you stated about Cam more describes Steve.

And I personally don't see attacking someone for not moving to the beat of your drums a sign of a selfless and mature individual. It's clear you folks don't care for Cam or else you wouldn't be hiding your own immaturity behind Smitty.
