Are you sure you can handle a new GM taking a few years to 'rebuild' when you can't even handle two losses?

Hurney has had over 10 years to develop something better than an inconsistent, mediocre product and has failed miserably. He has fired lots of people in the process of trying to maintain his own position in the organization He is long overdue for his turn to be escorted out the door.

A few years? Falcons go 4-12 in '07, get a new GM and HC then win 11 games the next season. Turnarounds like that happen ALL the time in the NFL.

Just because the current Panthers FO has been stuck in the "stick with what we got, business as usual" attitude for so long doesn't mean that things can't change dramatically if you get the right guys for the job.

There's no reason this team can't be in the playoffs next season. None. I would say at WORST one more down year before we could have a perennial playoff team, again though, only if you hire guys that know what they're doing.

If my team made decisions based on fan petitions, knowing how dumb fans are, I'd have to drop that team.

Jerry Richardson needs to get rid of Hurney, wether it's because of a fan petition, his own cognitive reasoning or a mirage of Jesus in a piece of burnt toast telling him to I don't really care.

So with one year's difference we would be using basically the same talent on the field as we have now. That would be talent that Hurney has assembled. Which is it, does he suck or has he assembled the peices for a perennial playoff team?

We don't offer guys the guys we should in the offseason. If another GM is here, he can rework the roster, and pick better FA's. Not the likes of Ajirotutu, Nanee, Colin Jones, Olino Mare, Nakamura.
