Dude the experts were spot on! Cam is just a more accurate Ryan Leaf. He is such a cry baby bitch. I really think drafting Cam was a cash grab for attention, ticket sales and jersey sales. Had we drafted Von Miller or Dareus and started Derek Anderson, 3-0 by now guaranteed. Once Cam throws a pick the game is over. He acts just like I do when I play Madden online and go down by 3 TDs, I rage quit.

Cam throws picks most bc the game is over pending he doesn't pull a miracle.

It is why his numbers are so drastically different.

1st half - Cam looks like a Pro Bowler

2nd half - by then the D has even abused, ST has cost us.....coaches look at Cam and say put us on your back and dig us out. Cam then knows he can't punt and his only option is to be risky. That isn't Amit clutch....it is a QB without a team and sub par coaching staff

It is not the towel over the head that is the issue. It is due to him sitting off by himself sulking. He is a leader on this team, but had yet to learn what that means and requires.

Smitty has screwed up multiple times in his career, but had learned from them and is now the consummate professional. That is a lesson that Cam had yet to learn.

He needs to get the mental reps...he needs to sit with the QB coach and go through the pictures if the formations. All if this is the maturation process if an NFL QB. His attitude and demeanor is poor right now.

Another issue is we ask a 22 yr old kid to be the team

Also, lets cool it with this Smitty is the consummate professional....he is far from it. If he was, guys like Gross wouldn't of called SMITH OUT for this past Thurs. He would not of aided in ruining Clausen 2 yr ago, etc.

We were more of a power running team last year than you think. We just used an extra TE/H-Back to trap/wham block, since we didn't have a capable FB.

We ran a 3 WR set 41% last year, not that's up to 70% this year.

I remember the first play we ran last year against the Cardinals was in a 2 TE set, and we ran a boot action with Cam to get him out on the edge. Cam is the most accurate QB in the league when on the run, and if we want to take advantage of his athletic ability, we need to incorporate more of this in our offense. It puts way more pressure on the defense than the read option.

Did you chart the games yourself or is there a site that gives you those percentages? I would love to know how much we are in 12 vs 11 vs 21(with Tolbert and another back). I agree with you but am too lazy to chart the numbers to know for sure.

The 2 tight end stuff was a staple of last years success both passing and running. I have seen it much less this year. It seems we are using Tolbert in those roles more. I think we miss Shockey more than the coaching staff thought we would.

What I haven't seen Cam master is the short passing game. It seems every throw is 15-20+. The problem with roll out throws is you take away half of the field when you do them.

Why? I know it's harsh but it's the truth. Name a time where Cam has shown real leadership? he has lost EVERY single game he has thrown an interception in, EVERY single one. But all is well, at least he ran for over 50 yards and passed for over 400. You may think I'm crazy now but in 2 years when Cam has either quit or is a backup to DA you will see exactly what I was talking about.

i havent looked it up but I know last year around 5 games where Cam got us ahead late in the fourth qtr. Problem is we never got the ball last and the D blew it. Cam has shown clutch, a td drive with 3-4 left in the 4th is the same as 1-2 left in the fourth.

Also a bunch of times we have got the ball left with 20-30s left....even Brady isnt clutch enough to score that fast.

And this is the most important thing of all

HE IS A 2nd YR QB!

I remember when ELI was young ..it was,...he chokes..isnt clutch...cant pull out a game in the 4th..throw too many pics..looks like a kid ...cant be a leader..will never live up to expectations being under Peyton's shadow.

Most of you kids on the forum were too young to see young ELI, you were more concerned watching shitty twilight movies while patheticly trying to get your fingers wet by a girl who ony cares about team jacob or edward.

That kid survived the NY media, now is elite 2 super bowls and looks like he will be better then his HOF brother.

Cam single handedly made this franchise exciting again. Of course they are going to be bumps and highs and lows, but when all the pieces get in place watch out. Cam didnt have the luxory of guys like rogers or brady who sat for a few years learning the pro cam. He is learning trial by fire and it will pay off dividends in the future.

Here... With a different name... insisting that Cam would be a bust & crying every time Cam broke another record. You can tell by his waiting until Cam had a bad game to show up.

nah, he's here only because he got banned from posting at cat scratch reader.

Somebody has to tell it like it is. They need to let this guy run a full pro offense. Let him take his lumps and grow as a QB. Let running be his last option, not one of the first. All these option plays and designed runs makes me sick. Does it work sometimes, yeah. However you see what happens when we go against a real defense. We get shut down. I'm okay with using them every blue moon, but if I want to see them as our main offense, I'll look at college football. If I want to see a wishbone offense, I'll go look at Georgia Tech. This is the NFL, where every play is dissected a billion times over by grown men.

Let this guy run the full offense, let him run it like Anderson would run it. Let him identify coverage and call plays. Let him do the whole bit. Or else he will be like Vick, taking 10+ years learning how to be a QB. And by then, he will be playing for another team.

Yeah, always comparing the blacks to each other. The vibe I get from this site is that the hate for Cam has more to do with many of you than him. Some hate Cam because he's a black QB and they prefer the standard white one because they a programed to believe they are better. Some hate on him because he's not Luck, the media created HOF "ready" QB, and other hate him because in their twisted mind, he somehow took the job of a more beloved QB who was dismissed before Cam even got on the team. Throughout it all, Cam has never really done anything himself to warrant such hate. A lot of the hate simply comes from immaturity and arrogance.

I have to LOL @ some of you fans. Yeah, Cam need to be as mature as Steve. Ripping off his helmet...Pounding his chest..Spitting profanity all over the place...fighting with other receivers...Now there is a great role model for Cam. And he's the Captain of your team??? It's no wonder you folks are in such deep denial of your team. Blame your QB for everything. He's the one who needs to grow up..Not the rest of the Panthers. Not clearly not your Captain receiver.

Also, have you ever thought that the running option was implement because your receivers cannot EVER seem to get open nor are they able to pick up much yardages on their own? Or are your eyes so glued on Cam's ass that you don't notice such things. I notice that a lot Thursday night.

As I watched the game on Thursday, I kept wondering why Eli was able to always find an open receiver when he was playing against your team but when it was Cam's turn the Gaints were all over the Panthers receivers. Even more is, maybe the Panthers need to open themselves up to adjusting quickly when things don't go their way instead of doing the same ish over and over again. Oh yes, I forgot, that's Cam's fault also.

SMDH you are a true reflection of your team aren't you. Blame your QB for everything.

Bc Eli was throwing short to mid range throws....and our OC was trying to set up big chunk plays.

And why was he doing that?? It was because your receivers couldn't get anything out of the running game. Same script...different team. Is Cam the coach also?

Let's be real. When the media is instructing other teams on how to handle Cam, that is telling me that they too see that the Panthers have made their entire team about Cam.

Even the Eagles have stopped that with Vick. Vick makes his mistakes but his team do their part to help him win. Cam plays like he carries an entire team on his back week in and out and that's a damn shame because he's not collecting their paychecks.

Well it is the Panthers asking Cam to carry the team......not Cam just electing to have that role. He does carry the entire team overall.

I said it before and will keep saying it.....you want to help a young QB win and grow? Build him a defense so he doesn't carry the team. Carolina isn't doing such....

Double Trouble + Tolbert is silly. There is a reason the 49ers, Texans, Jets, etc in the past have lined up and punched people in the mouth on the ground. They have defense.
