The Panthers seemed to have rallied from a early season blowout loss to the Cowboys, much the same way countless other teams in NFL history have done. Hell, the Giants themselves did it in 2007 in the Super Bowl after a blowout loss to the New England Patriots for the final game of the regular season. While fans were upset the team used the game as a wake-up call, and now they are entering the playoffs for the first time since 2008.
