We should consider trading Charles Johnson. He's good, but he's not worth what he makes, we could definitely do more with the money.

Speaking of trades...

It would be smart to trade Beason next year like the Texans did with Ryans, but doubt we will/can do that...

Not saying we should or shouldn't.....but the board won't like you suggesting such.

Biggest difference is we made Beason the highest paid MLB right before his injury.....Ryans didn't have that contract coupled with the injury

I am not loyal to anyone but Smith at this point. In two weeks I have gone from keep everyone to who gives a feck. Just keep Smitty and surprise me.

This is the only realistic one I can think of.

If CJ isn't going to earn every penny of that 70 million, then we need to dump that contract off on someone else and see if we can get a good DB or DE.

I don't even want to imagine some of the huddles finest as a real NFL GM.

One loss and half the team gets traded away.

Ask the Dolphins how well that works.

I did say IF we lose the next 2, which means once again no more playoff hopes, probably not even in the hunt

Yes if you see our schedule, and now considering all the drama unfolding just after going 1-2. Then wtf

Dude! I totally must have imagined the Seahawks going to the playoffs at 7-9 that one year. Or the Cardinals going to the superbowl at 8-8, or the Giants winning it all last season at 9-7.

Thanks for clearing that up for me man!

Ok you believe as a fan we can be right there after going 1-4. Fine. I won't argue or sway your optimistic beliefs

pass rush sucks and we're 1-2?

better get rid of our best pass rusher so we don't go 1-3

Realistically we can trade him for draft picks, then use the money to pick up both a DE, and CB in free agency. The go DT or OT in the draft.

CJ is solid and all, but this season do you really think he has been our most effective pass rusher?

This might make more sense when come week 6 he still only has 1 sack.

he is the defense's steve smith. draws the best protection, double teams, chips, and specific gameplans. average players surrounding him look better because the attention's not on them.

getting rid of CJ would be a knife in the heart of this defense.

That is very true, but I expect my best pass rusher to get sacks just as much as the other guys on the team.

With the money we gave him, he owes us 10+ sacks a season. Last season he only had 9 and this year doesn't look too good.

I love CJ but he's gotta step it up. He even said on twitter that he needs to step it up and a sack.
