When Cam had proven himself to be a leader on par with Brady I think everyone will forgive him for sulking from time to time.

As it is we see more pouting than leading and thats not good.

What the fug is leading? Cam leads by how the team is performing..him cheering on the sideline isn't going to change that score last thursday one bit. I don't give a fug what the media or boneheaded fans like you think, there is nothing wrong with the way cam acted.

Play me in Madden.

Kidding aside cleaning up the sideline behavior is about all he would need to do in my eyes.

If he were my son Id be on his ass to take his losses like a man and go back and prepare harder for the next game.

Look, don't get me wrong here. I'm a huge fan of the kid and am thrilled he is in a Panthers uniform but if he is going to take us to the Promised Land then he is going to have to find a way to keep his lows from being so low.

I agree again

I get that everyone is trying to justify what's been pretty much blown out of proportion by saying the kid doesn't like losing...but that comes with every single professional athlete. Its cool guys, this shows he really doesn't like losing...haha. Its beyond the point. It's in how you handle the losses and move forward that you can become great.

In game wise imo: Stop stretching away from the huddle, not communicating, and get into the game/figure sh*t out when you're not playing. I'm merely a fan but there comes a point where its obvious there is not enough communication going on the sidelines. Communication and adapting to what's going on is everything and our whole team just kinda brainfarts all over the place.

I don't even comprehend wtf you're talking about.

I didn't say anyone should stay home. I said that everyone handles something differently.

Quarterbacks are the offensive leaders of the team. Good and great quarterbacks are good and great leaders. Sitting on the sideline with a towel over your head or pouting is not good leadership - its no leadership.

Newton himself said he needed to work on his demeanor. Is he boneheaded too?

Hes a 23 yr old with a lot of emotions, the only way you can get him to control is after a lot of time experience that he hasnt had yet

I really don't get this. You just describe following how the rest of the guys play.

And its not cheering on the sidelines its about actively figuring out what the defense is doing and adjusting. Maybe we can't see it because Chud is communicating with him through the headset in the booth but there is an apparent lack of communication when you look at the whole team and Cam is scapegoat #1.

I can see why you need to ask what is leading.

If you really think that Cam firing guys up on the sidelines and encouraging them to up their game wouldn't have an impact on their performance and by extension the games final outcome then maybe I'm not the bonehead.

The guy has to learn how to survive the highs and lows. Celebrating while down 17 and acting like he just lost the Super bowl on the last play in the press conference doesnt invoke a whole lot of confidence. I remember when the Jake entered the huddle down 17 in the Jacksonville game. He immediately told the guys they were going to win. The announcers said the team was immediately playing better and all he did was hand off twice to start the drive.

Whatever anybody's specific definition of leading is, it's not hiding on the bench. Nobody can argue that is showing leadership.
