“Replay Official Howard Slavin stopped the game for an instant replay review. The aspects of the play that were reviewable included if the ball hit the ground and who had possession of the ball. In the end zone, a ruling of a simultaneous catch is reviewable. That is not the case in the field of play, only in the end zone.

so yes you can review simultaneous catch in the endzone only.

So the guy that fuged up is a regular guy, not a replacement?

I didn't say this last night, but in all reality, the right team won. The refs threw at least three bogus flags that extended the Packers final touchdown drive. (All three of them came on 3rd down) So that final call wasn't the only goof up by these refs. If you ask me, the right team won overall.

True. That PI call that should have been offensive PI was just awful.

If were the Panthers at home, and Steve Smith had gone up and done the same thing, this entire board would be singing a completely different tune.

I really don't care. Let the greedy bastads sit at home. These dudes already get paid VERY VERY well to officiate 16 games a year, more than most people make in 2 years. They want way too much just because they think they can get it. fug em and fug all unions for that matter.

Why was last night's call such a big deal? Why are people calling it the straw that broke the camel's back?

Three hundred million dollars changed hands in Vegas on that call.

The white ref who signaled touchdown has been unavailable for comment all day. Too busy scrubbing all his Seahawks photos off of Facebook.

Can they review penalties?

More importantly, can they review simultaneous possession calls? Others in the thread have said no, I dont actually know that answer

Penalties such as 12 men on the field...yes. Most penalties ...no.

And yes, the call in the end zone was reviewable. The ref in the booth did not overturn it.
