Since when wasn't Cam a Carolina Panther? Gtfoh.

You're an idiot. Being a Panther and being the Panthers is not that difficult to comprehend. Unless your a Cam only fanboy.

No problem with Panther/Cam fans but I truley believe most huddler now days could give a poo about the Panthers and are just here for Cam. From a Panther fan's perspective, its fuging annoying.

Maybe the fact you can't comprehend what I said kind of proves my point.

I promise to support and love Cam so long as he plays for the team and him doing so is the best option for the team.

Point being, no matter how talented or how much a player has done for a team, there comes a point where their play begins to hold a team back and/or they can no longer play at a high level, or they fail to reach an acceptable ceiling of production. It is at this point that a team MUST part ways with a player. It is also at these times when you find out if fans are more fans of a team or a player. For example, Jake HAD to be cut from the Panthers so that they could move forward. Similarly Farve HAD to be cut from the the Packers. This happens all the time with every team.

This does not mean that I expect Cam to fizzle out, or to become detrimental to team success at any point in the near future. Presently Cam IS our future and the ceiling is limitless. I love the man, and I support him to the fullest. However, when the time comes I am a Panther fan before I am a Cam fan.

They will talk poo about any other member on the team to protect the mystique of Newton.

I have absolutely no issues with the guy, I have second hand knowledge that he is a very nice and genuine person....but I admit that I let some of these fan boys influence my opinion of him and that is not fair.

Oh boo hoo. They'd rather talk about Cam Newton our nationally recognized star QB than Greg Hardy's haircut! Its not fair I tell you!

I have absolutely no issues with the guy,

Thats not what you said yesterday. You said he rubbed you the wrong way when he called himself an "entertainer and icon" well over a year ago. Even made a point to bring it up. And claimed he said "he would redefine the position of QB", when Cam never said such thing. You might not have issues with Cam per say, but as I predicted before we drafted him, you're having a tough time dealing with how much glory he receives.

I have second hand knowledge that he is a very nice and genuine person....

Yet you're bothered so many Panther fans want to talk about the Panthers QB. He must not be too nice and genuine.

but I admit that I let some of these fan boys influence my opinion of him and that is not fair.

When you grow up and become an adult, you'll learn to judge people FOR YOURSELF and wont need someone to hold your hand to tell you who to like and who not to.

    • I took it as voth getting defensive on behalf of the media when Gettleman slighted them in his comments. I like voth, but I don't like the attitude I've seen for years that is typical among media/journalists. .."we are owed access to everything and everyone.  Don't you dare turn us down or speak ill about us or we'll make you pay."
    • If y'all want to talk about a legit issue with illegals lets talk about the babies they make here and then the inability to collect child support when they peace out.  Until the Trump goes after the business that employee them, it's all pious claptrap.
    • I'm very familiar with the passage and the events that brought about His answer. Yes, the response was savvy, but He also didn't lie. There's another important passage about a widow donating her last two coins while the rich man donated more, but less, too. I'm sure you can massage that to nuance something to assuage your soul, but really, when it comes down to it all, there are some folks on the Conservative side that preach long and hard about following Jesus. The problem is that when they get to the part about taking care of the sick, the poor, the incarcerated and the downtrodden, they suddenly have a host of excuses and want to start parsing the wording so that they don't have to look at themselves and say, "Man, I'm supposed to be there for the less fortunate, but nah, not really. I mean, yeah, Salvation and all, but now we're talking about my hard-earned money." They always want the New Testament's forgiveness to apply to themselves, and they delight in the Old Testament being visited upon other folks. Outside of religion, they're also the ones who think it's a crying shame that "those people" don't have the means to fix themselves and then shake it off with the rationalization that those folks probably got themselves into that mess in the first place. We're all guilty of that to some degree, sadly, myself included.
