Walking dead season 3

So the rumor was that 27 people died over the course of the final episodes.

This rumor was perpetuated by Rick himself during an interview.

The other rumor was that 2 major characters died. I'm not sure where that one started.

I'd consider Merle a major character.

I think I only saw him take out like 4 Woodbury folks? Maybe a few more? Merle died too. So maybe the most that died this episode was like 8 or 9 (I think in the preview for next week I heard the Governor shout "he killed 8 people" or something to that effect...)...

So, if 27 is more like it, we're looking at a lot of fresh walkers in the finale.

Also, it almost seems like Rick and co. abandon the prison before the assault arrives. I wonder what that is all about...

I think one of two things happen with the whole packing up deal, because I noticed that too.

I think they're packed and ready to go, but they're laying in wait inside the prison to ambush and kill the Governor. Or some, like Beth, Herschel, Lil Asskicker, etc who wouldn't be much use in a real battle left and took all the stuff and Rick, Glenn, Daryl, Carl, Maggie, Glenn all stayed with some plan to meet up after it's done, or assume them dead. I highly doubt they just leave. Then again, they could. I just don't see it happening. The episode is titled "Welcome To The Tombs". From a clip they showed during The Talking Dead, it appears that the Woodbury crew enters through a door into the tombs rather than the cell block. Maybe hoping they walk right into all the walkers that are down there?

In any event, I expect something epic. According to an interview I read with either Mazzara or Nicotero where they said that the finale is pretty unexpected and emotionally satisfying, and it leaves you wanting season 4 (sort of it's job, after all).

"Emotionally satisfying" is not a description that fits this show much.

If true though, that doesn't bode well for The Governor.

Also, just read somewhere that when the screen goes black at the end of the finale, "millions of mouths will be agape". Wonder what the hell that means?

Do I really wanna get that from a girl that gets turned on at the sight of zombies chewing and ripping flesh?

they say blood is the best lubricant

Not if it's from my unit being ripped off, it isn't

(yes, "unit" is a silly term, but it isn't blocked; most others are)
