if rick ever finds a "safe haven" i will make kirkman's existence a living hell for the rest of his life

The comic series will eventually end. I mean, they've already foreshadowed that the dead aren't really a threat anymore in at least 2 ways:

Spoiler

Sure,

Spoiler

...but

Spoiler

that scene between Daryl and Merle after rescuing that Hispanic family was fantastic.

Remind me: Andrea did see the whole "wall of heads" thing, right?

Could anybody actually see a sight like that and still stay with the person that set it up?

People sometimes complain that male sci-fi/horror/action authors aren't very good at writing women. Stuff like this gives credence to that.

On another female character note, while I never found Lori especially attractive, I would say the "ghost in a white, backless dress" look worked for her.

On the flip side, Darryl is one of the best characters written for TV that I've ever seen. Hard to imagine the comic story being without him.

I could imagine Carl having the potential to be a great character as well.

Would add for tonight that Michonne's "WTF" face watching Rick show affection to open air was great. Also have to say I never knew a hatchback could be a deadly weapon

Great episode. Daryl and Merle's scene after helping the family was one of the best moments of the entire show so far. Acting was great from both (as usual) and we learned a little more about both characters. Also, Merle might not be QUITE what we thought he was (then again, he might). He seemed REALLY sincere at the end of the above mentioned scene, which I found quite interesting.

Glenn just flat pissed me off tonight. I thought I was going to like the angry Glenn for an episode, but they went a bit much for my liking. No good for me, personally. Rick's moment with Hershel was one of the most hilarious things this season.

"What are you doing?"

"I...I've got...I....I've got stuff..."

^^ Laughed WAY too hard at that moment.

Action was great. Lots of unanswered questions. We are starting to see more and more of the more sinister/manipulating Governor that we expected from the start. Last week paid off for sure. Let's hope next week is the same. The pacing this season has been great.

I wouldn't mind seeing Merle be the one to take out the governor.

(perhaps even in a scene where they both kill each other)

After all of that weapon training in season two, you'd think they'd be able to hit a guy standing in the big middle of a field. That firefight was pitiful, even Rick was missing shots he had time to line up, and the women spraying full auto was just retarded.

The walker van bomb was ingenious though.

The only way they can save Andrea any shred of interest at this point is to have her be the one to off the governor herself.

I was thinking it was strange how they're all great shots when they're shooting zombies but can't hit poo when people show up.

Agree... I never found her particularly attractive either... that was by far the best she has looked.

Great episode. Loved the Merle/Daryl stuff on the bridge... loved the firefight... loved the truck'o-zombies...

Rick and Co are now going to have to get serious about fortifying their defenses or die... so far they've only been worried about keeping the zombies out.

Best show on TV.

I feel like the show is just going around in circles. What hope is there? There's no cure for the disease. There's no human civilization to get to. What's the point? What are the character's motivation at this point?
