There's two screenshots of a zombie Merle. They look 100% legitimate and I'm convinced that they're real. There's another SS of Daryl hung with zombie's ripping his guts out, but I think that one is fake

I can go ahead and tell you that the picture of Daryl with his guts hanging out are fake. It's from a lesser known film "Pandorum" Norman Reedus was in.

Haven't heard about the other thing u mentioned.

Id say Rick, Carl and Daryl are essential. Glenn would be next in line. Everyone else is expendable to a point.

Daryl is one of the few I think you absolutely can't kill. Outside of him, Rick and Carl are probably it, though I feel like Andrea, Michonne, Glen and Maggie will be around for at least a while.

Norman Reedus is arguably more the face of the show than Andrew Lincoln, though Lincoln is immensely popular. Of course. if Reedus were to one day up and decide he'd rather do movies, then who knows?

And that's the thing. Write a comic book and you're essentially god. Every character must do your bidding no matter what. Make a TV show and you've gotta deal with actors, writers, agents, etc. Hence, sometimes you have to amend your fantasy world because something changed in the real one (like why we no longer have Dale).

dale died eventually anyway. everyone dies eventually anyway.

there is a huge difference between cliched, cut and dry, safe writing and a dangerous, daring writing style that will sacrifice characters for the sake of plot. daryl makes rick's group too strong. that's why he has to die. that's the formula kirkman adheres to. false sense of security, bam, major strength of the group taken down. daryl will be replaced by tyreese, or abraham (who is way fuging cooler than daryl anyway) or someone else. a crazy preacher. a ninja samurai named jesus. a reclusive rastafarian named ezekiel.

having safe characters on a show like the walking dead is bullshit, and i'm pretty sure with kirkman still pulling strings behind the scenes that no one is safe.

its only mildly irritating because you're talking about things you don't really comprehend as if you know for a fact that daryl can't die.

i guarantee you i know more for a fact that daryl will die, and how he will will die than you know for certain he won't
