If we beat the Falcons what do you think will be the biggest difference

That Giant game wasn't a true indictment of our team. We were not ready and had vanilla defensive looks, unimaginative offensive play calling and just looked wildly unprepared. That was a great exsmple of piss poor coaching and bad execution, which is still a product of piss poor coaching.

The talent is there. This O can be unstoppable if the OLine holds up and Chud doesn't try to force a gameplan that can be read from a mile away. It didn't help that JPP made Gary fuging Williams his prison bitch all night.

I really do believe we have a chance against the falcons. A good chance, at that. Our O can go toe to toe with theirs, it's just a matter of our DLine actually getting pressure. Hopefully the coaching staff realized that relying on our underwhelming front four alone isn't enough. There needs to be a creative game plan in place to get some semblance of pressure in Matty Ryan's face.

I can't see the panthers defense doing a ton to slow down the falcons offense at the georgia dome. SOO the only way I see the panthers winning is if they jump out to a fast lead and control the tempo of the game with a consistent rushing attack.

Why is everyone so surprised our defense sucks? We all knew our secondary consisted of one cb and our DL did not have a single person that could apply constant pressure on a qb. Everyone was so enamored by the return of Beason did they feel he could compensate for every other flaw.

Our offense on the other hand is disappointing.Am I supposed to believe that coaches spend countless hours coming up with this crock of poop? And please someone tell Hurney to quit looking a prospects from D1 schools.I cant get the article out of my mind where the said he was giddy like a school girl watching the tape of that OG that we used a high 2nd round pick on and how he ran down the hall to show Rivera. If Hurney likes the prospects of these schools so much he ought to get a job with one.We dont need anymore AEs on the team

Where is all the posters who think we lack the talent to pull out a winning season? If you believe that then you should have no problem guranteeing a loss to the Falcons. Mike Smith has a more proven track record and experience as a coach, so I doubt any of you think we are going to outcoach them.

There are no guarantees but if we play like we did against the Giants we will lose.

If you are so confident lets take this offline and put your money where your mouth is.

Must score points, and cam needs to lead us. Oline chemistry must be in order and in line with Cam and the backs. The WRs needs plays called that eat away at the defense not try and bomb them.

But #1 is points. I expect even with average play, the defense are going to give up some points to the Falcons. Don't see them being held under 20.

His name is Amini Silatolu, and he has played well other than in the Tampa game. You might want to remember his name, as he will be locking down that position for years, health allowing.

Aren't you guys ignoring the fact that DWill ran well in both the NO and NY game (yes, even out of the read option)? The problem with NY wasn't that DWill wasn't running as well as Stew would have. It's that we chose not to use him, tried to force runs for Cam (which the Giants were keyed on) and just generally played like crap over all.

I can't understand those that think Stew is the key off anecdotal evidence in a couple of games.

But with Stewart it isn't about just his yardage. It is about what he forces a defense to do and allows other Panthers on O to do.

Read option flows different. Faster and DL plays it different.

I read the words and I know you're a smart guy, but they just don't resonate with me. There is just nothing specific that points to Stew being the only guy effective with the RO. Stew is better after first contact while DWill is shiftier, but none of that should have anything to do with it.

Stew does seem a bit more versatile. He has developed as a pass catcher, and is pretty damn good in space. I just don't think it's as simple as our O works with Stew and doesn't work with DWill.
