Safety might be our top need now

Safety is by far our biggest need. It has been completely ignored for years. I'm tired of drafting a safety in the late rounds. They never turn out to be anything. There is always just 2 or 3 good safeties in the draft and you have to get them in the first. We can't keep ignoring this position. It has killed us.

Safety is without a doubt the top need for this team right now. Will it be by the end of the season? That remains to be seen but if I was a betting man I'd say it still is.

No more drafting corners and making them safeties. We need to draft a true stud safety that can cover ground in the secondary, lay the wood in run support, and create turnovers. This can be done in the first or second round this year and I believe it will be.

As for Vaccaro...do want. He has some size, instinctive, good in coverage and run support and displays some amazing athleticism. Not sure who will be the consensus 1 & 2 rated safeties in this draft when its all said and done but at least one of them needs to be on this team come next training camp.

Are any of the safeties that will be in the draft this year on Mark Barron or Eric Berry's level when they entered the draft? That's the type of impact safety I am looking for on this team.

I think he's better than all the saftey's this draft/since Eric Berry was drafted.

Vacarro looks like a stud. I could settle for Eric Reid from LSU as well. Well, hell, I'd settle for a pile of dog crap over Nakamura.

At this point we need a guy that leads with his play in the secondary. Gamble is the vet. back there but he just isn't a leader.

I think we need to address safety and get the best one available in the draft if we are in position to do so. At this point, it looks like we will be.

I hope the draft goes something like this: Safety (1st), WR/DT (2nd), O-Line (4th)

looks like @1:20 in that video he was telling the league where he wants to go.

truthfully i'd be happy with either him, reid, or mcdonald. i think all three could be studs.

you might want to go back and watch the oklahoma st game. he missed several tackles, got burnt for a TD but did jump a route and picked the ball off. in the next couple of weeks they have WVU, OKLA, and Baylor so we should get a good look at him for the next month.

I put my huddle acct on the table that both of them will be drafted before Vaccaro. Just bc you like a guy doesn't mean everyone should agrees with you .

In the 2nd or a last 5 pick in the first rd? Yea great pick up but not an early first.Vacarro will more than likey end up in the second.

I want a true FS, someone who has the measurables, the intelligence to properly align guys who won't get lost in coverage. Must have good, flexible hips, a good burst and be a solid tackler.

As of right now, I would put FS as the top need for us. RG, WR aren't too far behind though.
